Tough Woven Fabric
Standard Abrasives Surface Conditioning Discs provide a more compact structure of non-woven fibers than Buff & Blend products. Our RC disc has a woven fabric (scrim) embedded in the nylon structure to provide additional strength and durability. This helps extend the life of the disc and allows for extended use on ferrous materials where final finishing is important. This material is great for general use, delivering a solid mix of durability, flexibility, and cut rate.Mixed Materials
Our Standard Abrasives Surface Conditioning RC Discs are made of a tough, but flexible nylon mesh that fits any contoured surface. This mesh is also laced with aluminum oxide abrasive. Aluminum oxide discs are a good match for operators who desire an all-purpose versatility and economy. The mineral cuts fast while blending and deburring and should be used for applications on ferrous metals and composites. Aluminum oxide discs feature a premium grain with higher fracture strength, meaning the mineral will fragment and renew more readily. They are available in grades ranging from Very Fine to Coarse.Strong Backing for Better Performance
For the best results, it is recommended that a Standard Abrasives brand holder pad is used. Tests have shown that surface conditioning discs, when used in conjunction with the Standard Abrasives holder pad, have a greater durability and performance rate. These pads also assure that pressure is applied evenly all the way to the edge of the disc.Standard Abrasives Model
The Standard Abrasives Surface Conditioning RC Disc, model 845613, offers reliable performance with its proven design. This 5 inch CRS disc is crafted to meet general surface conditioning needs with consistent quality.
Its hook and loop attachment system ensures easy installation and removal, making it a practical choice for users who want quick changes. The model is part of a 10 pack, with 100 discs per case, providing ample supply for ongoing projects.
Durable Aluminum Oxide Abrasive
Featuring aluminum oxide on RC material, this disc delivers a strong initial and extended cut rate. This abrasive mineral is known for its fast cutting and blending capabilities, ideal for various surface tasks.
The aluminum oxide grain has higher fracture strength, meaning it renews itself during use. This makes it suitable for applications on ferrous metals and composites, offering versatility and economy.
Flexible Nylon Mesh Backing
The disc uses a tough yet flexible nylon mesh that conforms well to contoured surfaces. This backing enhances the disc’s ability to blend, finish, and deburr with precision on soft metals and composites.
Embedded with a woven fabric scrim, the backing adds strength and durability. This structure extends the disc’s life, especially when used on ferrous materials requiring fine finishing.
Optimal Size And Format
Measuring 5 inches in diameter, this CRS disc fits a wide range of standard tools. The size balances surface coverage and control, making it effective for both broad and detailed work.
Its hook and loop format simplifies attachment and removal, reducing downtime. The 10 pack format ensures users have enough discs for multiple jobs without frequent reordering.
High Pack Count Supply
This product comes in a case containing 100 discs, organized in 10 packs. This bulk packaging supports continuous work without interruption, ideal for professional or industrial settings.
Having a large quantity on hand reduces the need for frequent purchases and helps maintain workflow efficiency. The pack size also offers cost savings compared to buying discs individually.
