Tough Woven Fabric
Standard Abrasives Surface Conditioning Discs provide a more compact structure of non-woven fibers than Buff & Blend products. Our GP disk has a woven fabric (scrim) embedded in the nylon structure to provide additional strength and durability. This helps extend the life of the disk and allows for extended use on ferrous materials or steel. This material requires very little contact pressure and has the most flexibility available.Mixed Materials
Our Standard Abrasives Surface Conditioning GP Discs are made of a tough, but flexible nylon mesh that fits contoured surfaces. This mesh is also laced with aluminum oxide abrasive. Aluminum oxide discs are a good match for operators who desire an all-purpose versatility and economy. The mineral cuts fast while blending and deburring and should be used for applications on ferrous metals and composites. Aluminum oxide discs feature a premium grain with higher fracture strength, meaning the mineral will fragment and renew more readily. They are available in grades ranging from Very Fine to Coarse.Strong Backing for Better Performance
For the best results, it is recommended that a Standard Abrasives brand holder pad is used. Tests have shown that surface conditioning disks, when used in conjunction with the Standard Abrasives holder pad, have a greater durability and performance rate. These pads also assure that pressure is applied evenly all the way to the edge of the disk. Holder pads for Quick Change Discs are available in 3 attachment styles: TS, TR and TP.Standard Abrasives Brand Quality
The Standard Abrasives Surface Conditioning GP Disc, model 845519, is designed to deliver reliable performance. This 4 in VFN disc is part of a trusted brand known for durable abrasive products that meet professional standards.
Its high initial and extended cut rate makes it ideal for blending and cleaning tasks. The 10/Pac, 100 ea/Case pack size ensures you have enough discs for multiple projects or long-term use.
High Initial Cut Rate
The GP Disc features aluminum oxide on GP material, providing a high initial and extended cut rate. This means it removes material quickly while maintaining performance over time.
It's especially effective for coating removal, finishing, and light deburring, making it a versatile choice for various surface conditioning needs.
Flexible Woven Fabric Backing
This 4 in disc includes a woven fabric scrim embedded in the nylon structure, enhancing strength and durability. The backing allows for flexibility and edge durability during use.
The woven fabric backing also supports low contact pressure applications, helping the disc conform to contoured surfaces without sacrificing performance.
Hook Loop Attachment Format
The disc comes with a Hook and Loop attachment system, making it easy to mount and replace on compatible holders. This format supports quick changes and secure fitting during work.
Using the Hook and Loop system with Standard Abrasives holder pads improves durability and ensures even pressure across the disc for consistent results.
Pack Size And Dimensions
Each pack contains 10 discs, and the full case includes 100 discs, providing ample supply for extensive projects. The 4 in diameter and Very Fine to Coarse grades cover a range of surface conditioning tasks.
This size and pack count make the discs suitable for professional shops or industrial use where consistent availability and size compatibility are important.
