Tough Woven Fabric
Standard Abrasives Surface Conditioning Discs provide a more compact structure of non-woven fibers than Buff & Blend products. Our FE disc has a woven fabric (scrim) embedded in the nylon structure to provide additional strength and durability. This helps extend the life of the disc and allows for extended use on ferrous materials or steel. This is the best material to use when high contact pressure and stock removal are required.Mixed Materials
Our Standard Abrasives Surface Conditioning FE Discs are made of a tough, but flexible nylon mesh that fits any contoured surface. This mesh is also laced with aluminum oxide abrasive. Aluminum oxide discs are a good match for operators who desire an all-purpose versatility and economy. The mineral cuts fast while blending and deburring and should be used for applications on ferrous metals and composites. Aluminum oxide discs feature a premium grain with higher fracture strength, meaning the mineral will fragment and renew more readily. They are available in grades ranging from Very Fine to Extra Coarse.Strong Backing for Better Performance
For the best results, it is recommended that a Standard Abrasives brand holder pad is used. Tests have shown that surface conditioning discs, when used in conjunction with the Standard Abrasives holder pad, have a greater durability and performance rate. These pads also assure that pressure is applied evenly all the way to the edge of the disc.Standard Abrasives Brand Quality
The Standard Abrasives Surface Conditioning FE Disc 845811 is a trusted choice for professionals. This 7 in CRS disc delivers consistent performance with its reliable brand reputation. Choosing Standard Abrasives means you get a product designed for durability and efficiency.
Model 845811 features a tough woven fabric embedded in the nylon structure, enhancing strength and extending disc life. This makes it ideal for demanding tasks on ferrous materials, ensuring you get the most out of each disc.
High Edge Durability Benefits
These discs offer high edge durability and flexibility, which helps maintain performance during blending, coating removal, and finishing. The 7 in size fits well on various tools, providing control and precision. This durability reduces the need for frequent replacements.
Designed specifically for light deburring and finishing, the FE Disc excels on both flat and contoured surfaces. Its flexibility allows it to adapt to different shapes without losing effectiveness, making it a versatile tool in your kit.
Aluminum Oxide Abrasive Advantage
The disc uses aluminum oxide on FE material, offering a high initial and extended cut rate. This abrasive mineral cuts fast while blending and deburring, making it suitable for a wide range of metal types. It’s a great choice for operators seeking all-purpose versatility.
Aluminum oxide’s premium grain structure renews quickly through fracturing, maintaining cutting efficiency. This makes the 7 in disc especially effective on ferrous metals and composites, providing consistent results across applications.
Hook Loop Attachment Convenience
The disc comes with a hook and loop attachment system, simplifying installation and removal. This feature enhances usability by allowing quick changes between discs, saving time during projects. It also ensures the disc stays securely in place during use.
Hook and loop backing works best with Standard Abrasives holder pads, which improve durability and performance. These pads distribute pressure evenly to the disc edge, maximizing contact and extending the life of the 7 in CRS disc.
Pack Size And Format
This product is sold as a 10/Pac, with 100 discs per case, making it suitable for large-scale operations or frequent use. The pack size ensures you have enough discs on hand for continuous work without frequent reordering.
The 7 in CRS format is compatible with many standard tools, offering flexibility in application. Having a bulk supply of these discs supports efficient workflow and reduces downtime in busy environments.
