  • Product Description
    • Aluminum Oxide on FE material provides high initial and extended cut rate
    • Available with Hook and Loop attachment
    • Designed for blending, coating removal, finishing, and light deburring
    • High edge durability and flexibility
    • Most efficient on ferrous materials when high contact pressure and stock removal are required
The Standard Abrasives Surface Conditioning FE Disc combines high edge durability and flexibility with high initial and extended cut rate for edge work, deburring and blending of all metal types on both flat and contoured surfaces.

    Tough Woven Fabric
Standard Abrasives Surface Conditioning Discs provide a more compact structure of non-woven fibers than Buff & Blend products. Our FE disc has a woven fabric (scrim) embedded in the nylon structure to provide additional strength and durability. This helps extend the life of the disc and allows for extended use on ferrous materials or steel. This is the best material to use when high contact pressure and stock removal are required.

    Mixed Materials
Our Standard Abrasives Surface Conditioning FE Discs are made of a tough, but flexible nylon mesh that fits any contoured surface. This mesh is also laced with aluminum oxide abrasive. Aluminum oxide discs are a good match for operators who desire an all-purpose versatility and economy. The mineral cuts fast while blending and deburring and should be used for applications on ferrous metals and composites. Aluminum oxide discs feature a premium grain with higher fracture strength, meaning the mineral will fragment and renew more readily. They are available in grades ranging from Very Fine to Extra Coarse.

    Strong Backing for Better Performance
For the best results, it is recommended that a Standard Abrasives brand holder pad is used. Tests have shown that surface conditioning discs, when used in conjunction with the Standard Abrasives holder pad, have a greater durability and performance rate. These pads also assure that pressure is applied evenly all the way to the edge of the disc.

    Standard Abrasives Brand Model

The Standard Abrasives Surface Conditioning FE Disc 845614 offers reliable performance with its trusted brand and model. This disc is designed to meet professional standards for surface conditioning tasks.

Its 5 inch VFN size fits a variety of tools, making it a versatile choice for many users. The model 845614 ensures consistent quality across every disc in the pack.

    High Initial Cut Rate

Aluminum Oxide on FE material provides a high initial and extended cut rate, making this disc efficient for tough jobs. This feature helps speed up blending, coating removal, and finishing tasks.

Its effectiveness is especially notable on ferrous materials, where high contact pressure and stock removal are required. The disc’s design supports both flat and contoured surfaces.

    Flexible Tough Woven

The disc’s tough woven fabric backing adds strength and durability, extending its life during heavy use. This woven fabric is embedded in the nylon structure for added support.

Combined with the 5 inch size and hook and loop attachment, it offers flexibility and easy handling. This makes it ideal for blending, finishing, and light deburring on various metal types.

    Pack Size Convenience

Each case contains 100 discs, organized in 10 packs of 10, providing ample supply for ongoing projects. This bulk packaging supports cost efficiency and reduces frequent reordering.

The 10 pack format also helps keep discs organized and accessible. This setup is perfect for workshops or production environments needing consistent surface conditioning.

    Hook Loop Attachment

The disc features a hook and loop attachment system, allowing quick and secure mounting on compatible holder pads. This system enhances ease of use and reduces downtime during changes.

Using Standard Abrasives brand holder pads with this disc improves durability and performance. The attachment ensures even pressure distribution to the disc’s edge for better results.
