Tough Woven Fabric
Standard Abrasives Surface Conditioning Discs provide a more compact structure of non-woven fibers than Buff & Blend products. Our FE disc has a woven fabric (scrim) embedded in the nylon structure to provide additional strength and durability. This helps extend the life of the disc and allows for extended use on ferrous materials or steel. This is the best material to use when high contact pressure and stock removal are required.Mixed Materials
Our Standard Abrasives Surface Conditioning FE Discs are made of a tough, but flexible nylon mesh that fits any contoured surface. This mesh is also laced with aluminum oxide abrasive. Aluminum oxide discs are a good match for operators who desire an all-purpose versatility and economy. The mineral cuts fast while blending and deburring and should be used for applications on ferrous metals and composites. Aluminum oxide discs feature a premium grain with higher fracture strength, meaning the mineral will fragment and renew more readily. They are available in grades ranging from Very Fine to Extra Coarse.Strong Backing for Better Performance
For the best results, it is recommended that a Standard Abrasives brand holder pad is used. Tests have shown that surface conditioning discs, when used in conjunction with the Standard Abrasives holder pad, have a greater durability and performance rate. These pads also assure that pressure is applied evenly all the way to the edge of the disc.Standard Abrasives Model
The Standard Abrasives Surface Conditioning FE Disc 845411 is designed to deliver reliable performance. This 4 in CRS disc is part of a 10/Pac, 100 ea/Case pack, making it easy to stock up for ongoing projects.
Its model number 845411 ensures you get the exact product needed for surface conditioning tasks. The brand's reputation supports consistent quality and durability in demanding applications.
High Initial Cut Rate
Aluminum Oxide on FE material provides a high initial and extended cut rate, which means faster stock removal and efficient surface preparation. This feature is essential for blending, coating removal, finishing, and light deburring.
The disc’s ability to maintain performance over time helps reduce downtime and replacement frequency. It’s especially effective on ferrous materials when high contact pressure is applied.
Flexible Hook Loop
This product is available with a Hook and Loop attachment, making disc changes quick and secure. The 4 in CRS size fits a variety of tools, enhancing versatility on different surfaces.
The hook and loop system also supports better control during use, which is important for detailed finishing and blending on both flat and contoured surfaces.
Durable Edge Design
The disc features high edge durability and flexibility, which extends its life and maintains consistent performance. This durability is supported by a tough woven fabric embedded in the nylon structure.
Such construction allows the disc to withstand high contact pressure and stock removal demands, especially on steel and other ferrous metals, making it a reliable choice for heavy-duty tasks.
Pack Size Convenience
Each case contains 100 discs, organized in 10 packs of 10, providing ample supply for large jobs or frequent use. This pack size helps reduce ordering frequency and ensures you have enough discs on hand.
The 4 in CRS dimension is ideal for many surface conditioning applications, balancing ease of handling with effective coverage for blending and finishing tasks.
