Standard Abrasives Quick Change Disc Pads, also called Holder Pads, allow you to rapidly change Standard Abrasives quick change discs (sold separately) during multi-step projects. A wide range of sizes and densities are available, ensuring that you can find the pad(s) that best suits your specific grinding and finishing application.

Three Attachment Types: TS, TR, TP
Standard Abrasives™ Quick Change Disc Pads come with one of three quick change attachment styles. Attachment styles include TS, TR and TP. TS is a standard metal-to-metal attachment style, TR is a 3M™ Roloc™ style nylon threaded male hub, and TP is a snap-on/snap-off nylon fastening hub. Each of the attachment styles allows easy swap out of discs with a speedy quarter turn.

    Choosing a Mandrel
Our Standard Abrasives™ Quick Change Disc Pads are available with or without mandrels. Some TS and TR holder pads come with an attached 1/4-inch diameter TA4 mandrel. Others come with an attached 6 mm diameter TA6 mandrel. TP disc holders come with the TA4 mandrel attachment only. Disc pads are also available without mandrels, so users can select a mandrel of their choice for their application. Holders without an attached mandrel feature a 1/4-20 female thread interface for mandrel attachment. Once the mandrel is attached, users typically fasten the disc pad/mandrel assembly to a rotary tool or die grinder.

    Which Density is Best?
Different densities signal varying levels of flexibility of the disc pad. Soft density disc pads are most flexible, and are typically reserved for fine grade abrasive products used in finishing and contouring applications. Medium density disc pads are typically used for general purpose type work. Hard density disc pads are the most rigid, and are typically reserved for coarse grade abrasive products used in weld grinding and stock removal applications.

Altogether, Standard Abrasives™ Disc Pads allow for quick and easy disc attachment and removal, enhancing productivity and adding efficiency to your industrial applications.

Quality Standard Abrasives™ Solutions for Industrial Applications
The Standard Abrasives brand has supplied quality abrasives to the metalworking industry for over 50 years. Customers rely on our broad offering of high performance products including coated, bonded, and non-woven abrasive lines.

    Standard Abrasives Brand Model

The Standard Abrasives Quick Change TR Medium Disc Pad 546010 offers reliable quality from a trusted brand. This model is designed for quick change applications, making it a solid choice for industrial and metalworking tasks.

With the TR attachment system, this disc pad fits 3M Roloc style nylon threaded hubs, ensuring fast and secure disc swaps. The model number 546010 identifies this specific medium density pad for easy ordering and replacement.

    Medium Density Versatile Pad

This disc pad features a medium density, balancing flexibility and firmness for general purpose grinding and finishing. Medium density pads like this one are ideal for a wide range of applications, from stock removal to surface preparation.

Medium density ensures the pad adapts well to various surfaces without being too soft or too rigid, providing consistent results across different project needs. This makes it a practical choice for many industrial users.

    Three Inch Disc Size

The pad measures 3 inches in diameter, a common size that fits many rotary tools and die grinders. This size offers a good balance between coverage area and control, suitable for detailed work and larger surface areas alike.

Its 3-inch format allows for efficient grinding and finishing, especially when paired with the quick change TR attachment system. This size is versatile enough for various metalworking and finishing tasks.

    Quick Change Attachment System

The Quick Change TR attachment system enables fast and easy disc swaps with a simple quarter turn. This feature helps boost productivity by minimizing downtime during multi-step projects.

Compatible with the 3M Roloc nylon threaded male hub, the TR system ensures a secure fit and smooth operation. This quick change design supports efficient workflow in demanding industrial environments.

    Five Pads Per Case

This product comes in a pack of 5 pads per case, providing a convenient quantity for ongoing projects or multiple users. Buying in cases helps maintain supply and reduces the need for frequent reordering.

The pack count supports cost efficiency and ensures you have enough pads on hand for consistent work. The 5 ea/Case format is ideal for workshops and industrial settings requiring regular pad replacement.
