Spiral Bands

Spiral bands are small cylindrical abrasives built for the tight work larger sanders can’t reach—inside holes, tubes, corners, and curved edges. Their spiral construction conforms to contours for clean deburring, weld cleanup, and controlled finishing without excessive gouging.

On this page you’ll find Standard Abrasives aluminum oxide spiral bands plus 3M cloth spiral bands (747D), covering grits 36–120 for everything from fast stock removal to smoother final passes. Sizes range from 1/2" to 3", and all options are sold in 100-piece cases for shop and jobsite buying.

Use coarse grits (36–60) for heavier deburring and weld blending, then step up to 80–120 for refining surfaces and reducing scratch pattern. Aluminum oxide is a dependable, general-purpose abrasive across metal, wood, composites, and plastics, while cloth bands offer a more controlled feel for lighter finishing.
