  • Product Description
    • AVAILABLE IN A RANGE OF GRADES: Choose from Super Fine (SFN), Very Fine (VFN), Medium (MED) and Coarse (CRS) to fit your application needs
    • CHOOSE YOUR MINERAL: Super Fine grade is powered by super-sharp silicon carbide that excels in low-pressure and fine finishing applications, while all other grades feature harder and more durable aluminum oxide
    • CONFORMABLE NONWOVEN WEB: Springy nonwoven fibers resist loading and conform to irregular or contoured surfaces
    • GREAT FOR LOW-MEDIUM PRESSURE: Built for consistency in blending, cleaning, deburring, finishing, grinding, polishing, radiusing, refining and surface preparation
    • QUICK AND EASY ATTACHMENT: Hook and loop backing makes for easy disc attachment, removal and re-attachment
    • WORKS ON A RANGE OF METALS: Great for use on aluminum, mild steel, nickel alloy, stainless steel and titanium
Scotch-Brite Surface Conditioning Disc comes in a wide variety of grades and sizes and is an ideal first-step for cleaning, blending, deburring, and finishing. Durable, non-woven fiber construction conforms well on irregular or contoured surfaces without undercutting or damaging the base material.

The open-web material runs cool and resists loading to enable prolonged operation while evenly distributed aluminum oxide abrasives produce a high cut-rate for consistent finishing.

Our Scotch-Brite™ Surface Conditioning Disc uses aluminum oxide abrasive. Aluminum oxide is a popular choice among industrial professionals because of its cut-rate and long life. This mineral is a tough, durable abrasive that self-fractures to expose fresh cutting edges in use, whereas traditional abrasives, such as garnet, quickly wear down with use. Due to its high cut-rate, hardness, strength, and low heat retention, aluminum oxide mineral is widely used in grinding applications in addition to sanding and finishing use. Aluminum oxide is suitable on a wide variety of substrates in both woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys.

Our Scotch-Brite™ industrial abrasives are unique surface conditioning products with abrasives incorporated into non-woven nylon or synthetic fibers. Combining abrasives with the fibers creates an abrasive system that delivers consistent results for the life of the product. The open-web material runs cool and is load resistant, which keeps the abrasive minerals cutting at high performance by limiting clogging of the fibers.

    Scotch-Brite Model Overview

The Scotch-Brite Surface Conditioning Disc, model SC-DH 07456, is designed for versatile surface preparation tasks. This product is part of the trusted Scotch-Brite brand, known for quality and durability in industrial abrasives.

Its specific model number ensures you get the exact disc tailored for your needs, making it easy to reorder or specify for projects requiring consistent results.

    Medium Grade Abrasive Quality

This disc features an A/O Medium grade, combining aluminum oxide abrasives with a nonwoven web for effective surface conditioning. The medium grade balances cut-rate and finish quality, suitable for a range of applications.

Aluminum oxide is a durable mineral that self-fractures to expose fresh edges, ensuring long life and consistent performance during cleaning, blending, and deburring tasks.

    Three Inch Disc Size

The 3 inch diameter size offers a compact and manageable disc for detailed work and easy handling. This size fits many standard tools and allows for precise surface conditioning on smaller or contoured areas.

Its dimensions make it ideal for tasks requiring control and accuracy, such as polishing or finishing on irregular surfaces without damaging the base material.

    Hook Loop Attachment System

The disc uses a hook and loop (NH) backing system, allowing quick and easy attachment, removal, and re-attachment. This feature saves time during tool changes and helps maintain workflow efficiency.

With this system, users can switch discs rapidly without tools, making it convenient for jobs that require multiple grades or frequent disc replacement.

    Pack Size Convenience

Available in packs of 25 per carton and 100 discs per case, this product suits both small and large scale operations. The pack size supports inventory management and bulk purchasing needs.

Having 100 discs per case ensures you have a steady supply for ongoing projects, reducing downtime and the need for frequent reordering.
