Product Description
- AVAILABLE IN A RANGE OF GRADES: Choose from Super Fine (SFN), Very Fine (VFN), Medium (MED), and Coarse (CRS) to fit your application needs
- CHOOSE YOUR MINERAL: Discs are available either powered by super-sharp silicon carbide (SiC) that excels in low-pressure and fine finishing applications or made from harder and more durable aluminum oxide (A/O)
- CONFORMABLE NONWOVEN WEB: Springy nonwoven fibers resist loading, conform to irregular or contoured surfaces, and minimize undercutting and gouging
- GREAT FOR LOW-TO-MEDIUM PRESSURE: Built for consistency in blending, cleaning, deburring, finishing, grinding, polishing, radiusing, refining, and surface preparation, depending on the chosen grade
- QUICK AND EASY ATTACHMENT: Convenient 3M Roloc Attachment System allows for fast disc changes
- WORKS ON A RANGE OF METALS: This multipurpose option is great for use on aluminum, mild steel, nickel alloy, stainless steel, and titanium
The open-web fiber runs cool and resists loading while the aluminum oxide abrasives provide a high cut-rate for consistent finishing. Our 3M Roloc attachment system offers quick and easy disc change-out, making the Roloc Surface Conditioning Disc ideal for a range of tasks including blending, deburring, and finishing.
We use aluminum oxide abrasive in Scotch-Brite Roloc Surface Conditioning Discs. Aluminum oxide is a popular choice among industrial professionals because of its cut-rate and long life. This mineral is a tough, durable abrasive that self-fractures to expose fresh cutting edges in use, whereas traditional abrasives, such as garnet, quickly wear down with use. Due to its high cut-rate, hardness, strength, and low heat retention, aluminum oxide mineral is widely used in grinding applications in addition to sanding and finishing use. Aluminum oxide is suitable on a wide variety of substrates in both woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys.
We developed Scotch-Brite surface conditioning products with abrasives incorporated into non-woven nylon or synthetic fibers. Combining abrasives with the fibers creates an abrasive system that delivers consistent results for the life of the product. The open-web material runs cool, reducing the risk of part discoloration and warping. The fibers are load resistant and keep the abrasive minerals cutting at high performance by limiting clogging of the fibers, which also extends the life of the disc.
3M Roloc TR quick change discs are smaller discs that have a plastic threaded button or screw designed to easily and quickly screw onto a Roloc TR disc pad (sold separately) so that you can conveniently change discs with a simple twist-off, twist-on motion. The Roloc TR system provides a secure attachment even for heavy-duty applications, and the variety of available 3M Roloc discs allows swapping from one application to the next in seconds.
Scotch-Brite Roloc Model
The Scotch-Brite Roloc Surface Conditioning Disc, model SC-DS, offers reliable performance for various surface tasks. This brand and model are known for combining durable nonwoven discs with the 3M Roloc quick-change system for efficient use.
Its design supports cleaning, finishing, blending, and deburring, making it a versatile choice for professionals who need consistent results with the SC-DS model.
Medium Grade Performance
This product features an A/O Medium grade, which balances cutting power and finish quality. The medium grade is ideal for tasks requiring both material removal and surface refinement.
Choosing the medium grade helps users achieve effective surface conditioning without aggressive gouging, suitable for a range of metals and applications.
Compact 3/4 Inch Size
The disc measures 3/4 inch, making it compact and easy to handle for detailed work. This size fits well in tight or contoured spaces where precision is necessary.
Its small diameter allows for controlled surface preparation, especially on irregular shapes, enhancing the versatility of the Scotch-Brite Roloc SC-DS disc.
Quick Change Attachment
The 3M Roloc Attachment System enables fast and easy disc changes. This feature reduces downtime and increases productivity by allowing users to swap discs with a simple twist.
With the Roloc system, the discs stay securely attached during use, supporting consistent performance across various finishing and deburring tasks.
Bulk Pack Convenience
This product comes in a pack of 50 discs per bag, with 200 discs per case. Such bulk packaging is ideal for industrial or high-volume users who require a steady supply.
Having 200 discs in a case ensures that users can maintain workflow without frequent reordering, making it cost-effective and convenient for ongoing projects.
