Product Description
- AVAILABLE IN A RANGE OF GRADES: Choose from Super Fine (SFN), Very Fine (VFN), Medium (MED), and Coarse (CRS) to fit your application needs
- CHOOSE YOUR MINERAL: Discs are available either powered by super-sharp silicon carbide (SiC) that excels in low-pressure and fine finishing applications or made from harder and more durable aluminum oxide (A/O)
- CONFORMABLE NONWOVEN WEB: Springy nonwoven fibers resist loading, conform to irregular or contoured surfaces, and minimize undercutting and gouging
- GREAT FOR LOW-TO-MEDIUM PRESSURE: Built for consistency in blending, cleaning, deburring, finishing, grinding, polishing, radiusing, refining, and surface preparation, depending on the chosen grade
- QUICK AND EASY ATTACHMENT: Convenient 3M Roloc Attachment System allows for fast disc changes
- WORKS ON A RANGE OF METALS: This multipurpose option is great for use on aluminum, mild steel, nickel alloy, stainless steel, and titanium
The open-web fiber runs cool and resists loading while the aluminum oxide abrasives provide a high cut-rate for consistent finishing. Our 3M Roloc attachment system offers quick and easy disc change-out, making the Roloc Surface Conditioning Disc ideal for a range of tasks including blending, deburring, and finishing.
We use aluminum oxide abrasive in Scotch-Brite Roloc Surface Conditioning Discs. Aluminum oxide is a popular choice among industrial professionals because of its cut-rate and long life. This mineral is a tough, durable abrasive that self-fractures to expose fresh cutting edges in use, whereas traditional abrasives, such as garnet, quickly wear down with use. Due to its high cut-rate, hardness, strength, and low heat retention, aluminum oxide mineral is widely used in grinding applications in addition to sanding and finishing use. Aluminum oxide is suitable on a wide variety of substrates in both woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys.
We developed Scotch-Brite surface conditioning products with abrasives incorporated into non-woven nylon or synthetic fibers. Combining abrasives with the fibers creates an abrasive system that delivers consistent results for the life of the product. The open-web material runs cool, reducing the risk of part discoloration and warping. The fibers are load resistant and keep the abrasive minerals cutting at high performance by limiting clogging of the fibers, which also extends the life of the disc.
3M Roloc TR quick change discs are smaller discs that have a plastic threaded button or screw designed to easily and quickly screw onto a Roloc TR disc pad (sold separately) so that you can conveniently change discs with a simple twist-off, twist-on motion. The Roloc TR system provides a secure attachment even for heavy-duty applications, and the variety of available 3M Roloc discs allows swapping from one application to the next in seconds.
Trusted Brand And Model
The Scotch-Brite Roloc Surface Conditioning Disc, SC-DR, is a reliable choice for surface preparation. This 3M product combines the trusted Scotch-Brite brand with the efficient Roloc quick-change system for easy use.
Its model SC-DR ensures consistent performance across tasks like cleaning, blending, and deburring. The 3M Roloc attachment system supports fast disc changes, saving time on the job.
Multiple Grades For Precision
Choose from Super Fine (SFN), Very Fine (VFN), Medium (MED), and Coarse (CRS) grades to match your project needs. The SC-DR model offers this range to provide precise surface conditioning results.
Each grade is designed for specific applications, whether you need fine finishing or more aggressive material removal. This flexibility makes the 2 inch discs versatile for many tasks.
Durable Backing And Size
The discs come in a 2 inch size, ideal for detailed work and tight spaces. The backing is designed for strength and durability, supporting the disc during use without compromising performance.
This size and backing combination fits well with the 3M Roloc TR attachment system, ensuring secure and quick changes. The 2 inch diameter balances control and coverage effectively.
Efficient Format And System
The Scotch-Brite Roloc Surface Conditioning Disc uses the 3M Roloc Attachment System for quick and easy disc changes. This format reduces downtime and increases productivity on the job.
The Roloc system’s twist-on, twist-off design works well with the SC-DR discs, providing a secure fit even during heavy-duty applications. This format supports a smooth workflow.
Bulk Pack For Convenience
These discs come in a pack of 50 per carton and 200 per case, making them suitable for large projects or frequent use. The bulk packaging helps keep your supply ready and organized.
Having 200 discs in a case ensures you won’t run out quickly, especially when working on multiple jobs. The pack count supports cost efficiency and reduces the need for frequent reordering.
