Product Description
- AVAILABLE IN A RANGE OF GRADES: Choose from Super Fine (SFN), Very Fine (VFN), Medium (MED), and Coarse (CRS) to fit your application needs
- CHOOSE YOUR MINERAL: Discs are available either powered by super-sharp silicon carbide (SiC) that excels in low-pressure and fine finishing applications or made from harder and more durable aluminum oxide (A/O)
- CONFORMABLE NONWOVEN WEB: Springy nonwoven fibers resist loading, conform to irregular or contoured surfaces, and minimize undercutting and gouging
- GREAT FOR LOW-TO-MEDIUM PRESSURE: Built for consistency in blending, cleaning, deburring, finishing, grinding, polishing, radiusing, refining, and surface preparation, depending on the chosen grade
- QUICK AND EASY ATTACHMENT: Convenient 3M Roloc Attachment System allows for fast disc changes
- WORKS ON A RANGE OF METALS: This multipurpose option is great for use on aluminum, mild steel, nickel alloy, stainless steel, and titanium
The open-web fiber runs cool and resists loading while the aluminum oxide abrasives provide a high cut-rate for consistent finishing. Our 3M Roloc attachment system offers quick and easy disc change-out, making the Roloc Surface Conditioning Disc ideal for a range of tasks including blending, deburring, and finishing.
We use aluminum oxide abrasive in Scotch-Brite Roloc Surface Conditioning Discs. Aluminum oxide is a popular choice among industrial professionals because of its cut-rate and long life. This mineral is a tough, durable abrasive that self-fractures to expose fresh cutting edges in use, whereas traditional abrasives, such as garnet, quickly wear down with use. Due to its high cut-rate, hardness, strength, and low heat retention, aluminum oxide mineral is widely used in grinding applications in addition to sanding and finishing use. Aluminum oxide is suitable on a wide variety of substrates in both woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys.
We developed Scotch-Brite surface conditioning products with abrasives incorporated into non-woven nylon or synthetic fibers. Combining abrasives with the fibers creates an abrasive system that delivers consistent results for the life of the product. The open-web material runs cool, reducing the risk of part discoloration and warping. The fibers are load resistant and keep the abrasive minerals cutting at high performance by limiting clogging of the fibers, which also extends the life of the disc.
3M Roloc TR quick change discs are smaller discs that have a plastic threaded button or screw designed to easily and quickly screw onto a Roloc TR disc pad (sold separately) so that you can conveniently change discs with a simple twist-off, twist-on motion. The Roloc TR system provides a secure attachment even for heavy-duty applications, and the variety of available 3M Roloc discs allows swapping from one application to the next in seconds.
Scotch-Brite Roloc Model
The Scotch-Brite Roloc Surface Conditioning Disc, SC-DR, is designed for efficient surface preparation. This model combines durable nonwoven fibers with the 3M Roloc quick-change system for fast and secure disc changes.
Its unique construction helps clean, finish, blend, and deburr surfaces effectively. The SC-DR model supports a variety of tasks while maintaining consistent performance throughout its use.
Very Fine Grade Benefits
This disc comes in the A/O Very Fine grade, ideal for delicate finishing and blending tasks. The very fine grade ensures smooth results without damaging the surface, making it perfect for precision work.
Choosing the Very Fine grade allows users to achieve a refined finish on metals and other materials. It balances cut rate and surface quality for professional-grade results.
Two Inch Size Advantage
The 2 inch diameter of this Scotch-Brite Roloc disc offers excellent control and access to tight or contoured areas. Its compact size is well-suited for detailed surface conditioning tasks.
This size fits easily on various tools and supports precise work on small parts or intricate surfaces. The 2 inch dimension enhances maneuverability during finishing and deburring.
Quick Attachment System
The disc features the 3M Roloc Attachment System, enabling quick and easy disc changes. This system reduces downtime and improves workflow efficiency by allowing fast twist-on, twist-off operation.
With the Roloc system, users can switch between discs rapidly to match different application needs. This convenience supports continuous work without interrupting the process.
Bulk Pack Convenience
This product is sold in a pack of 50 discs per carton, with 200 discs per case. Buying in bulk ensures you have a steady supply for ongoing projects and reduces the need for frequent reordering.
The large pack count is ideal for industrial or professional use where consistent availability of the 2 inch Very Fine discs is important. It supports cost-effective inventory management.
