Product Description
- AVAILABLE IN A RANGE OF GRADES: Choose from Super Fine (SFN), Very Fine (VFN), Medium (MED), and Coarse (CRS) to fit your application needs
- CHOOSE YOUR MINERAL: Discs are available either powered by super-sharp silicon carbide (SiC) that excels in low-pressure and fine finishing applications or made from harder and more durable aluminum oxide (A/O)
- CONFORMABLE NONWOVEN WEB: Springy nonwoven fibers resist loading, conform to irregular or contoured surfaces, and minimize undercutting and gouging
- GREAT FOR LOW-TO-MEDIUM PRESSURE: Built for consistency in blending, cleaning, deburring, finishing, grinding, polishing, radiusing, refining, and surface preparation, depending on the chosen grade
- QUICK AND EASY ATTACHMENT: Convenient 3M Roloc Attachment System allows for fast disc changes
- WORKS ON A RANGE OF METALS: This multipurpose option is great for use on aluminum, mild steel, nickel alloy, stainless steel, and titanium
The open-web fiber runs cool and resists loading while the aluminum oxide abrasives provide a high cut-rate for consistent finishing. Our 3M Roloc attachment system offers quick and easy disc change-out, making the Roloc Surface Conditioning Disc ideal for a range of tasks including blending, deburring, and finishing.
We use aluminum oxide abrasive in Scotch-Brite Roloc Surface Conditioning Discs. Aluminum oxide is a popular choice among industrial professionals because of its cut-rate and long life. This mineral is a tough, durable abrasive that self-fractures to expose fresh cutting edges in use, whereas traditional abrasives, such as garnet, quickly wear down with use. Due to its high cut-rate, hardness, strength, and low heat retention, aluminum oxide mineral is widely used in grinding applications in addition to sanding and finishing use. Aluminum oxide is suitable on a wide variety of substrates in both woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys.
We developed Scotch-Brite surface conditioning products with abrasives incorporated into non-woven nylon or synthetic fibers. Combining abrasives with the fibers creates an abrasive system that delivers consistent results for the life of the product. The open-web material runs cool, reducing the risk of part discoloration and warping. The fibers are load resistant and keep the abrasive minerals cutting at high performance by limiting clogging of the fibers, which also extends the life of the disc.
3M Roloc TR quick change discs are smaller discs that have a plastic threaded button or screw designed to easily and quickly screw onto a Roloc TR disc pad (sold separately) so that you can conveniently change discs with a simple twist-off, twist-on motion. The Roloc TR system provides a secure attachment even for heavy-duty applications, and the variety of available 3M Roloc discs allows swapping from one application to the next in seconds.
Trusted Scotch-Brite Quality
The Scotch-Brite Roloc Surface Conditioning Disc, SC-DR model, offers reliable performance for various surface tasks. This brand is known for durable, non-woven discs that combine efficiency with the 3M Roloc quick-change system.
Designed to clean, finish, blend, and deburr, the SC-DR disc supports aggressive cutting while preserving irregular or contoured surfaces. Its proven design ensures consistent results across applications.
Medium Grade Versatile Performance
This product comes in the A/O Medium grade, ideal for a balance of cutting and finishing. The medium grade fits many applications, providing effective surface conditioning without being too coarse or too fine.
Users can expect consistent blending, cleaning, and deburring with this grade, making it suitable for a variety of metalworking and finishing tasks where medium abrasiveness is required.
Four Inch Disc Size
The disc measures 4 inches in diameter, a common size that fits many standard tools and applications. This size offers good surface coverage while maintaining control for detailed work.
Its 4-inch dimension makes it versatile for both small and medium surface areas, allowing users to efficiently prepare and finish parts without switching disc sizes frequently.
3M Roloc Attachment System
The disc features the 3M Roloc TR quick-change attachment system, enabling fast and easy disc swaps. This system uses a plastic threaded button for secure and convenient mounting on compatible pads.
With the Roloc system, users save time changing discs and can switch between tasks quickly, improving workflow and reducing downtime during surface conditioning jobs.
Bulk Pack Convenience
This product is sold in a pack of 25 discs per carton, with 100 discs per case, making it ideal for high-volume users. Bulk packaging helps reduce frequent reordering and ensures a steady supply.
Having 100 discs per case supports continuous work in industrial or professional settings, providing cost efficiency and less interruption for restocking during projects.
