Product Description
- AVAILABLE IN A RANGE OF GRADES: Choose from Super Fine (SFN), Very Fine (VFN), Medium (MED), and Coarse (CRS) to fit your application needs
- CHOOSE YOUR MINERAL: Discs are available either powered by super-sharp silicon carbide (SiC) that excels in low-pressure and fine finishing applications or made from harder and more durable aluminum oxide (A/O)
- CONFORMABLE NONWOVEN WEB: Springy nonwoven fibers resist loading, conform to irregular or contoured surfaces, and minimize undercutting and gouging
- GREAT FOR LOW-TO-MEDIUM PRESSURE: Built for consistency in blending, cleaning, deburring, finishing, grinding, polishing, radiusing, refining, and surface preparation, depending on the chosen grade
- QUICK AND EASY ATTACHMENT: Convenient 3M Roloc Attachment System allows for fast disc changes
- WORKS ON A RANGE OF METALS: This multipurpose option is great for use on aluminum, mild steel, nickel alloy, stainless steel, and titanium
The open-web fiber runs cool and resists loading while the aluminum oxide abrasives provide a high cut-rate for consistent finishing. Our 3M Roloc attachment system offers quick and easy disc change-out, making the Roloc Surface Conditioning Disc ideal for a range of tasks including blending, deburring, and finishing.
We use aluminum oxide abrasive in Scotch-Brite Roloc Surface Conditioning Discs. Aluminum oxide is a popular choice among industrial professionals because of its cut-rate and long life. This mineral is a tough, durable abrasive that self-fractures to expose fresh cutting edges in use, whereas traditional abrasives, such as garnet, quickly wear down with use. Due to its high cut-rate, hardness, strength, and low heat retention, aluminum oxide mineral is widely used in grinding applications in addition to sanding and finishing use. Aluminum oxide is suitable on a wide variety of substrates in both woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys.
We developed Scotch-Brite surface conditioning products with abrasives incorporated into non-woven nylon or synthetic fibers. Combining abrasives with the fibers creates an abrasive system that delivers consistent results for the life of the product. The open-web material runs cool, reducing the risk of part discoloration and warping. The fibers are load resistant and keep the abrasive minerals cutting at high performance by limiting clogging of the fibers, which also extends the life of the disc.
3M Roloc TR quick change discs are smaller discs that have a plastic threaded button or screw designed to easily and quickly screw onto a Roloc TR disc pad (sold separately) so that you can conveniently change discs with a simple twist-off, twist-on motion. The Roloc TR system provides a secure attachment even for heavy-duty applications, and the variety of available 3M Roloc discs allows swapping from one application to the next in seconds.
Trusted Brand And Model
The Scotch-Brite Roloc Surface Conditioning Disc, SC-DR, offers reliable performance from a well-known brand. This model is designed to meet various surface conditioning needs with consistent quality.
Its 1 inch size and 50 discs per carton, with 200 discs per case, make it a convenient choice for both small and large jobs. The SC-DR model ensures you get the right tool for your tasks.
Medium Grade For Versatility
This product features the A/O Medium grade, balancing cutting power and finish quality. Medium grade discs are ideal for blending, cleaning, and deburring tasks that require moderate abrasion.
Choosing the medium grade means you can handle a variety of surfaces without over-aggressiveness, making it suitable for many applications where precision and finish matter.
Roloc Attachment System
The disc uses the 3M Roloc quick-change attachment system, allowing fast and easy disc changes. This system saves time and effort during work, improving overall productivity.
With the Roloc TR format, the disc securely screws onto the pad, ensuring stability even in heavy-duty applications. This makes it a practical choice for frequent disc swaps.
Compact Size And Format
Measuring 1 inch in diameter, this disc is perfect for detailed surface conditioning in tight or contoured spaces. Its compact size supports precision work without sacrificing performance.
The smaller format also means less material waste and easier handling, especially when working on intricate parts or limited surface areas.
Bulk Packaging Convenience
Each carton contains 50 discs, and a full case holds 200 discs, making it easy to stock up for ongoing projects. Bulk packaging reduces the need for frequent reordering and ensures you have enough discs on hand.
This pack size suits industrial or workshop environments where consistent supply and readiness are essential for uninterrupted work.
