  • Product Description
    • AVAILABLE IN A RANGE OF GRADES: Choose from Super Fine (SFN), Very Fine (VFN), Medium (MED), and Coarse (CRS) to fit your application needs
    • CHOOSE YOUR MINERAL: Discs are available either powered by super-sharp silicon carbide (SiC) that excels in low-pressure and fine finishing applications or made from harder and more durable aluminum oxide (A/O)
    • CONFORMABLE NONWOVEN WEB: Springy nonwoven fibers resist loading, conform to irregular or contoured surfaces, and minimize undercutting and gouging
    • GREAT FOR LOW-TO-MEDIUM PRESSURE: Built for consistency in blending, cleaning, deburring, finishing, grinding, polishing, radiusing, refining, and surface preparation, depending on the chosen grade
    • QUICK AND EASY ATTACHMENT: Convenient 3M Roloc Attachment System allows for fast disc changes
    • WORKS ON A RANGE OF METALS: This multipurpose option is great for use on aluminum, mild steel, nickel alloy, stainless steel, and titanium
Scotch-Brite Roloc Surface Conditioning Discs combine durable, non-woven disc with the efficiency of the 3M Roloc quick-change attachment system for an effective disc that cleans, finishes, blends, and deburrs. The non-woven fiber construction conforms well to help preserve irregular or contoured surfaces and the Roloc backing supports the disc for aggressive cutting.

The open-web fiber runs cool and resists loading while the aluminum oxide abrasives provide a high cut-rate for consistent finishing. Our 3M Roloc attachment system offers quick and easy disc change-out, making the Roloc Surface Conditioning Disc ideal for a range of tasks including blending, deburring, and finishing.

We use aluminum oxide abrasive in Scotch-Brite Roloc Surface Conditioning Discs. Aluminum oxide is a popular choice among industrial professionals because of its cut-rate and long life. This mineral is a tough, durable abrasive that self-fractures to expose fresh cutting edges in use, whereas traditional abrasives, such as garnet, quickly wear down with use. Due to its high cut-rate, hardness, strength, and low heat retention, aluminum oxide mineral is widely used in grinding applications in addition to sanding and finishing use. Aluminum oxide is suitable on a wide variety of substrates in both woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys.

We developed Scotch-Brite surface conditioning products with abrasives incorporated into non-woven nylon or synthetic fibers. Combining abrasives with the fibers creates an abrasive system that delivers consistent results for the life of the product. The open-web material runs cool, reducing the risk of part discoloration and warping. The fibers are load resistant and keep the abrasive minerals cutting at high performance by limiting clogging of the fibers, which also extends the life of the disc.

3M Roloc TR quick change discs are smaller discs that have a plastic threaded button or screw designed to easily and quickly screw onto a Roloc TR disc pad (sold separately) so that you can conveniently change discs with a simple twist-off, twist-on motion. The Roloc TR system provides a secure attachment even for heavy-duty applications, and the variety of available 3M Roloc discs allows swapping from one application to the next in seconds.

    Trusted Brand And Model

The Scotch-Brite Roloc Surface Conditioning Disc, model SC-DR, offers reliable performance for various surface tasks. This brand is known for quality and durability, making it a preferred choice in many workshops.

With the SC-DR model, you get a disc designed specifically for surface conditioning, blending, and finishing. Its proven design supports consistent results across multiple applications.

    Medium Grade For Versatility

This pack features the A/O Medium grade disc, ideal for a balance of cutting and finishing. Medium grade abrasives work well for blending and deburring without being too aggressive or too fine.

Choosing the Medium grade helps you handle a variety of tasks, from surface preparation to polishing, making it a versatile option for many projects.

    Compact Size And Format

The discs measure 1-1/2 inches, a size that fits well in tight or detailed areas. This compact dimension allows for precise work on irregular or contoured surfaces.

These discs use the 3M Roloc attachment system, which lets you quickly change discs with a simple twist. This format saves time and effort during frequent disc swaps.

    Convenient Pack And Case

Each pack contains 50 discs, and the full case includes 200 discs total. This quantity supports ongoing projects without frequent reordering.

Having 50 discs per pack ensures you have enough supply for extended use, while the case size suits both small shops and larger operations.

    Durable Backing And System

The TR backing on these discs provides a secure hold and supports aggressive cutting. This backing type is designed to work seamlessly with the 3M Roloc quick-change system.

Using the TR backing ensures stability during use, reducing disc wobble and improving safety. It also helps maintain consistent contact with the work surface.
