- AVAILABLE IN A RANGE OF GRADES: Choose from Super Fine (SFN), Very Fine (VFN), Medium (MED), and Coarse (CRS) to fit your application needs
- CHOOSE YOUR MINERAL: Discs are available either powered by super-sharp silicon carbide (SiC) that excels in low-pressure and fine finishing applications or made from harder and more durable aluminum oxide (A/O)
- CONFORMABLE NONWOVEN WEB: Springy nonwoven fibers resist loading, conform to irregular or contoured surfaces, and minimize undercutting and gouging
- GREAT FOR LOW-TO-MEDIUM PRESSURE: Built for consistency in blending, cleaning, deburring, finishing, grinding, polishing, radiusing, refining, and surface preparation, depending on the chosen grade
- QUICK AND EASY ATTACHMENT: Convenient 3M Roloc Attachment System allows for fast disc changes
- WORKS ON A RANGE OF METALS: This multipurpose option is great for use on aluminum, mild steel, nickel alloy, stainless steel, and titanium
The open-web fiber runs cool and resists loading while the aluminum oxide abrasives provide a high cut-rate for consistent finishing. Our 3M Roloc attachment system offers quick and easy disc change-out, making the Roloc Surface Conditioning Disc ideal for a range of tasks including blending, deburring, and finishing.
We use aluminum oxide abrasive in Scotch-Brite Roloc Surface Conditioning Discs. Aluminum oxide is a popular choice among industrial professionals because of its cut-rate and long life. This mineral is a tough, durable abrasive that self-fractures to expose fresh cutting edges in use, whereas traditional abrasives, such as garnet, quickly wear down with use. Due to its high cut-rate, hardness, strength, and low heat retention, aluminum oxide mineral is widely used in grinding applications in addition to sanding and finishing use. Aluminum oxide is suitable on a wide variety of substrates in both woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys.
We developed Scotch-Brite surface conditioning products with abrasives incorporated into non-woven nylon or synthetic fibers. Combining abrasives with the fibers creates an abrasive system that delivers consistent results for the life of the product. The open-web material runs cool, reducing the risk of part discoloration and warping. The fibers are load resistant and keep the abrasive minerals cutting at high performance by limiting clogging of the fibers, which also extends the life of the disc.
3M Roloc TR quick change discs are smaller discs that have a plastic threaded button or screw designed to easily and quickly screw onto a Roloc TR disc pad (sold separately) so that you can conveniently change discs with a simple twist-off, twist-on motion. The Roloc TR system provides a secure attachment even for heavy-duty applications, and the variety of available 3M Roloc discs allows swapping from one application to the next in seconds.
Trusted Scotch-Brite Model
The Scotch-Brite Roloc Surface Conditioning Disc, model 07513, offers reliable performance for surface preparation tasks. This 3M product combines the trusted Scotch-Brite brand with the convenient Roloc attachment system for quick disc changes.
Designed for professionals, the SC-DR version ensures consistent results with its durable construction. The 3-inch disc size fits many standard tools, making it a versatile choice for various applications.
Varied Grades For Precision
This product comes in multiple grades including A/O Very Fine, allowing you to select the perfect level of abrasiveness. The Very Fine grade is ideal for delicate finishing and blending tasks where surface quality matters.
Other available grades like Super Fine, Medium, and Coarse provide options for different surface conditioning needs. Choosing the right grade helps achieve the desired finish without damaging the material.
Efficient Roloc Attachment System
The 3M Roloc quick-change system featured in this disc allows for fast and easy disc swaps. This reduces downtime and keeps your workflow smooth, especially when working on multiple tasks or materials.
The Roloc TR backing ensures a secure fit during use, even under heavy-duty conditions. This system supports the 3-inch disc size perfectly, enhancing both convenience and safety.
Durable Nonwoven Backing
The disc’s conformable nonwoven web resists loading and adapts to irregular or contoured surfaces. This helps minimize gouging and undercutting, preserving the integrity of the workpiece.
Its springy fibers maintain consistent abrasive contact, which is essential for blending, cleaning, and finishing. This backing supports the aluminum oxide mineral for effective surface conditioning.
Bulk Packaging Convenience
This product is sold in a pack of 25 discs per carton and 100 discs per case, making it ideal for industrial or high-volume use. The bulk packaging helps reduce frequent reordering and ensures you have enough discs on hand.
The 3-inch size and pack count suit workshops and production environments needing reliable supply. Having 100 discs per case supports continuous operation without interruption.
