Product Description
- AVAILABLE IN A RANGE OF GRADES: Choose from Super Fine (SFN), Very Fine (VFN), Medium (MED), and Coarse (CRS) to fit your application needs
- CHOOSE YOUR MINERAL: Discs are available either powered by super-sharp silicon carbide (SiC) that excels in low-pressure and fine finishing applications or made from harder and more durable aluminum oxide (A/O)
- CONFORMABLE NONWOVEN WEB: Springy nonwoven fibers resist loading, conform to irregular or contoured surfaces, and minimize undercutting and gouging
- GREAT FOR LOW-TO-MEDIUM PRESSURE: Built for consistency in blending, cleaning, deburring, finishing, grinding, polishing, radiusing, refining, and surface preparation, depending on the chosen grade
- QUICK AND EASY ATTACHMENT: Convenient 3M Roloc Attachment System allows for fast disc changes
- WORKS ON A RANGE OF METALS: This multipurpose option is great for use on aluminum, mild steel, nickel alloy, stainless steel, and titanium
The open-web fiber runs cool and resists loading while the aluminum oxide abrasives provide a high cut-rate for consistent finishing. Our 3M Roloc attachment system offers quick and easy disc change-out, making the Roloc Surface Conditioning Disc ideal for a range of tasks including blending, deburring, and finishing.
We use aluminum oxide abrasive in Scotch-Brite Roloc Surface Conditioning Discs. Aluminum oxide is a popular choice among industrial professionals because of its cut-rate and long life. This mineral is a tough, durable abrasive that self-fractures to expose fresh cutting edges in use, whereas traditional abrasives, such as garnet, quickly wear down with use. Due to its high cut-rate, hardness, strength, and low heat retention, aluminum oxide mineral is widely used in grinding applications in addition to sanding and finishing use. Aluminum oxide is suitable on a wide variety of substrates in both woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys.
We developed Scotch-Brite surface conditioning products with abrasives incorporated into non-woven nylon or synthetic fibers. Combining abrasives with the fibers creates an abrasive system that delivers consistent results for the life of the product. The open-web material runs cool, reducing the risk of part discoloration and warping. The fibers are load resistant and keep the abrasive minerals cutting at high performance by limiting clogging of the fibers, which also extends the life of the disc.
3M Roloc TR quick change discs are smaller discs that have a plastic threaded button or screw designed to easily and quickly screw onto a Roloc TR disc pad (sold separately) so that you can conveniently change discs with a simple twist-off, twist-on motion. The Roloc TR system provides a secure attachment even for heavy-duty applications, and the variety of available 3M Roloc discs allows swapping from one application to the next in seconds.

Medium Grade For Versatility
This disc features an A/O Medium grade, ideal for a range of applications including blending, deburring, and finishing. The medium grade balances cutting power and surface finish quality for effective conditioning.
Users can rely on this grade to handle various tasks without damaging surfaces. The medium abrasive weight suits low-to-medium pressure work, making it a versatile choice for many metalworking needs.
Compact Two Inch Size
The 2 inch diameter of this Scotch-Brite disc allows for precise control and access to tight or contoured areas. Its size supports detailed surface conditioning without sacrificing efficiency.
Small enough for intricate work, the 2 inch disc fits well on the Roloc TR backing pad. This size is perfect for tasks requiring accuracy on aluminum, stainless steel, and other metals.
Quick Change Attachment
The 3M Roloc Attachment System featured on this disc enables quick and easy disc swaps. This system uses a threaded button for secure fastening, allowing users to change discs with a simple twist.
Fast disc changes reduce downtime and improve workflow. The Roloc TR system supports heavy-duty use while maintaining a secure hold during operation.
Bulk Pack For Efficiency
This product comes in a pack of 25 discs per carton and 100 discs per case, providing ample supply for extended projects. Bulk packaging helps reduce ordering frequency and keeps work running smoothly.
Having 100 discs in a case ensures you’re well-stocked for ongoing surface conditioning needs. The pack size suits professional environments where consistent disc availability is important.
