The Scotch-Brite Roloc SL Surface Conditioning Disc is a durable product that combines blending and finishing capability with aggressive cut. Its unique web construction and formulation allows the disc to resist loading while giving you an aggressive cut and long product life – on both edges and flat surfaces.

With this versatile capability, our Scotch-Brite Roloc SL Surface Conditioning Discs can reduce or eliminate subsequent conditioning steps for weld clean up, grindline refinement, metal blending, and even light deburring. Available in four grades: Medium, Coarse, Heavy Duty and Super Duty, the open-web, non woven SL disc runs cool, resists loading, and maintains cut-rate consistency throughout the life of the disc. These same attributes allow you to use less pressure, reducing fatigue and maximizing disc life.

We use aluminum oxide abrasive mineral in the Scotch-Brite Roloc SL Surface Conditioning Disc. Aluminum oxide is a popular choice among industrial professionals because of its cut-rate and long life. This mineral is a tough, durable abrasive that self-fractures to expose fresh cutting edges in use, whereas traditional abrasives, such as garnet, quickly wear down with use. Due to its high cut-rate, hardness, strength, and low heat retention, aluminum oxide is widely used in grinding applications in addition to sanding and finishing use. Aluminum oxide is suitable on a wide variety of substrates in both woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys.

3M Roloc TR quick change discs are smaller discs that quickly attach onto a Roloc disc pad (sold separately) so that you can conveniently and quickly change discs as needed. Our Roloc TR and TSM systems provide a secure attachment even for heavy-duty applications, and the variety of our other 3M Roloc discs allows swapping from one application to the next in seconds. Each disc is also color-coded to identify its grade, making it easy to grab the grade required for different applications.

We developed Scotch-Brite surface conditioning products with abrasives incorporated into non-woven nylon or synthetic fibers. Combining abrasives with the fibers creates an abrasive system that delivers consistent results for the life of the product. The open-web material runs cool, reducing the risk of part discoloration and warping. The fibers are load resistant and keep the abrasive minerals cutting at high performance by limiting clogging of the fibers, which also extends the life of the disc.

    Trusted Brand And Model

The Scotch-Brite Roloc SL Surface Conditioning Disc, model SL-DR, is designed for professionals who demand quality and reliability. This Super Duty A Coarse disc offers a tough abrasive solution that meets heavy-duty surface conditioning needs.

With the 3M Roloc attachment system, this 3-inch disc ensures quick changes and secure fitting. Its brand reputation guarantees consistent performance across various applications.

    Multiple Grades For Versatility

This product is available in a range of grades including Medium (MED), Coarse (CRS), Heavy-duty (CRS HD), and Super Duty (CRS SD). This variety lets you select the perfect abrasive strength for your specific task.

Choosing the right grade helps with blending, deburring, finishing, and surface preparation. The Super Duty grade in this pack is especially suited for tough jobs requiring aggressive cutting.

    Compact Size And Format

The disc measures 3 inches in diameter, making it ideal for detailed work and tight spaces. Its Roloc TR format allows for quick attachment and removal, saving time during tool changes.

This format supports efficient workflow by enabling fast swaps between discs. The 3-inch size balances control and coverage, suitable for various metalworking tasks.

    Large Pack For Efficiency

This product comes in a pack of 25 discs per carton and 100 discs per case, ensuring you have plenty of supply for ongoing projects. Bulk packaging reduces the need for frequent reordering.

Having 100 discs in a case supports high-volume work environments. It also helps maintain consistent quality by using discs from the same batch.

    Durable And Heavy-Duty

The Super Duty A Coarse grade combines aluminum oxide grain with moderate conformability for a disc that’s tough enough for heavy-duty use. This ensures long-lasting performance even under demanding conditions.

Its construction resists loading and maintains cut-rate consistency. This durability reduces fatigue and extends disc life, making it a cost-effective choice for metal finishing and grinding.
