  • Product Description
    • Bristle spacing is ideal for coating removal and other high-loading substances
    • Contains no wire filaments for improved safety
    • Flexible bristles require less pressure than wire brushes and conform to contours, even on complex parts
    • Molded, abrasive-filled bristles strip, deburr, blend, finish, polish, clean, and remove coatings more effectively, with less pressure than wire brushes
    • Proprietary 3M Ceramic Abrasive Grain provides aggressive cutting and consistent finish quality throughout the life of the disc
Scotch-Brite Radial Bristle Disc, using proprietary 3M Ceramic Abrasive Grain and molded, flexible bristles, provides more surface contact than wire brushes and maintains abrasive property throughout the life of the disc. This fast-running disc removes paint, stains, adhesives, weld burns, rust, heavy oxides, and surface contaminants from large areas.

Under normal use, the flexible bristles on our Scotch-Brite Radial Bristle Disc remain safely in place and can achieve the desired finish using light pressure. We designed our disc to last longer than wire and other abrasive discs and works well on aluminum, brass, bronze, carbon steel, cast iron, stainless steel, and other metals; and is used for general industrial, aerospace, automotive, metalworking, transportation, and automotive applications.

3M ceramic aluminum oxide blend is a ceramic mineral designed using a proprietary process to enhance toughness and hardness of the grain for a higher level performance. Ceramic aluminum oxide blend is engineered to fracture frequently and surpasses aluminum oxide abrasives in both cut-rate and durability. Perfect for moderate to heavy stock removal as well as finishing, ceramic abrasives are built to cut fast and handle intense heat and stress applications.

Scotch-Brite abrasives are unique surface conditioning products with abrasives incorporated into non-woven fiber matrix. Combining abrasives and non-woven material creates an abrasive system that delivers consistent results for the life of the product. The open-web material runs cool and is load resistant, which keeps the abrasive minerals cutting at high performance by limiting clogging of the fibers.

    Scotch-Brite RB-ZB Model

The Scotch-Brite Radial Bristle Disc, model RB-ZB, is designed for effective surface conditioning. This brand and model combine molded, flexible bristles with proprietary 3M Ceramic Abrasive Grain for consistent finish quality throughout the disc's life.

Ideal for removing paint, stains, rust, and other contaminants, the RB-ZB disc offers more surface contact than wire brushes. Its design ensures safety and efficiency in various industrial and automotive applications.

    Thin Bristle Flexible Design

The disc features thin bristles that flex to conform to contours, even on complex parts. This flexibility means less pressure is needed compared to wire brushes, reducing operator fatigue and improving control.

These molded, abrasive-filled bristles strip, deburr, blend, finish, polish, and clean surfaces effectively. The thin bristle format enhances performance on metals like aluminum, brass, and stainless steel.

    Dimensions And Size Details

This Scotch-Brite disc measures 2 inches in diameter by 3/8 inch thickness, making it suitable for detailed work and tight spaces. The size supports fast-running operations while maintaining control and precision.

Its compact dimensions allow it to remove coatings and surface contaminants efficiently over large areas. The 2 in x 3/8 in size balances reach and maneuverability for various metalworking tasks.

    Grade And Pack Count

The product comes in a pack of 40 discs per carton, with 80 discs per case, ensuring ample supply for ongoing projects. The 220 grade offers a balance between aggressive cutting and surface finishing.

This pack size supports industrial and automotive users who require consistent quality and quantity. The 220 grade is suitable for moderate to heavy stock removal and finishing tasks.

    Proprietary Abrasive Technology

The disc uses 3M’s proprietary Ceramic Abrasive Grain, which provides aggressive cutting and maintains consistent finish quality. This ceramic grain outperforms traditional aluminum oxide abrasives in durability and cut-rate.

Combined with the non-woven fiber matrix of Scotch-Brite abrasives, this technology keeps the disc running cool and resists loading. It’s perfect for removing weld burns, rust, and heavy oxides on various metals.
