  • Product Description
    • Bristle spacing is ideal for coating removal and other high-loading substances
    • Contains no wire filaments for improved safety
    • Flexible bristles require less pressure than wire brushes and conform to contours, even on complex parts
    • Molded, abrasive-filled bristles strip, deburr, blend, finish, polish, clean, and remove coatings more effectively, with less pressure than wire brushes
    • Proprietary 3M Ceramic Abrasive Grain provides aggressive cutting and consistent finish quality throughout the life of the disc
Scotch-Brite Radial Bristle Disc, using proprietary 3M Ceramic Abrasive Grain and molded, flexible bristles, provides more surface contact than wire brushes and maintains abrasive property throughout the life of the disc. This fast-running disc removes paint, stains, adhesives, weld burns, rust, heavy oxides, and surface contaminants from large areas.

Under normal use, the flexible bristles on our Scotch-Brite Radial Bristle Disc remain safely in place and can achieve the desired finish using light pressure. We designed our disc to last longer than wire and other abrasive discs and works well on aluminum, brass, bronze, carbon steel, cast iron, stainless steel, and other metals; and is used for general industrial, aerospace, automotive, metalworking, transportation, and automotive applications.

3M ceramic aluminum oxide blend is a ceramic mineral designed using a proprietary process to enhance toughness and hardness of the grain for a higher level performance. Ceramic aluminum oxide blend is engineered to fracture frequently and surpasses aluminum oxide abrasives in both cut-rate and durability. Perfect for moderate to heavy stock removal as well as finishing, ceramic abrasives are built to cut fast and handle intense heat and stress applications.

Scotch-Brite abrasives are unique surface conditioning products with abrasives incorporated into non-woven fiber matrix. Combining abrasives and non-woven material creates an abrasive system that delivers consistent results for the life of the product. The open-web material runs cool and is load resistant, which keeps the abrasive minerals cutting at high performance by limiting clogging of the fibers.

    Scotch-Brite Radial Bristle

The Scotch-Brite Radial Bristle Disc, 9/16 in x 1/16 in P220, 48/Carton, 192 ea/Case, offers a unique abrasive solution. This model uses molded, flexible bristles that provide more surface contact than wire brushes, improving coating removal and surface finishing.

Designed for safety and efficiency, the disc contains no wire filaments, reducing risk during use. Its flexible bristles conform to complex contours, making it ideal for detailed work on various metals.

    Precise Dimensions Enhance Performance

Measuring 9/16 inch in diameter and 1/16 inch thick, this disc fits a variety of tools and applications. The P220 grade ensures a fine abrasive level suitable for finishing and polishing tasks.

These dimensions allow the disc to run fast and remove paint, stains, adhesives, and rust effectively across large surfaces. The size supports consistent contact and control during use.

    Flexible Bristles Reduce Pressure

The flexible bristles on this Scotch-Brite disc require less pressure than traditional wire brushes. This means users can achieve desired finishes with lighter effort, reducing fatigue and improving precision.

Because the bristles conform to contours, even complex parts receive thorough cleaning and finishing. This flexibility also helps the disc last longer than wire or other abrasive discs.

    Proprietary Ceramic Abrasive Grain

This disc features 3M’s proprietary Ceramic Abrasive Grain, which provides aggressive cutting and consistent finish quality. The ceramic grain maintains its abrasive properties throughout the disc’s life.

Engineered for toughness and hardness, the ceramic aluminum oxide blend surpasses traditional abrasives in cut-rate and durability. It handles moderate to heavy stock removal and intense heat applications.

    Pack Size Supports Industrial Use

Available in packs of 48 per carton and 192 per case, this disc suits industrial, aerospace, automotive, and metalworking environments. The pack size ensures users have ample supply for large projects.

Its compatibility with metals like aluminum, brass, bronze, carbon steel, cast iron, and stainless steel makes it versatile. The pack count supports continuous work without frequent reordering.
