Scotch-Brite Deburr and Finish PRO Unitized Wheel is a new wheel designed to make a variety of metalworking applications easier and more efficient for industrial professionals. Typically, abrasives excel in one area: deburring, finishing or blending. This multi-purpose wheel is unique, because it’s engineered to do all three.

The Benefits of 3M Ceramic Precision-Shaped Grain and Scotch Brite Web
Scotch-Brite Deburr and Finish PRO Unitized Wheel has all the benefits operators have come to expect from our Scotch-Brite abrasives, including load resistance and responsive open web. What sets this wheel apart from other Scotch Brite abrasives is 3M Precision-Shaped Grain. The proprietary mineral – interwoven throughout the abrasive – is engineered for hardness and strength. The sharp-cutting mineral is counteracted by soft, buoyant nylon fibers that respond to surface irregularities and contours. Gaps between fibers allow debris to escape and help minimize loading. Together, the web and mineral combine to aggressively tackle the substrate without sacrificing predictable results.

    Ideal for Robotic Deburring
With a wide range of conformability options and high consistency, long-lasting Scotch-Brite industrial abrasives are a great option for robotic deburring. Scotch-Brite Deburr and Finish PRO Unitized Wheel quickly removes burrs and sharp edges in end-of-arm tooling operations, delivering consistent performance through the full life of the abrasive.

The Difference Is in the Construction
Unitized wheels differ from convolute wheels, because they feature a layered construction as opposed to being wound around a core: the open web is cured and compressed for added strength and durability. The unique production method makes unitized wheels a good match for edges and contours.

Moreover, the wheels may be run clockwise or counter-clockwise. We recommend using this wheel with the 3M Die Grinder (sold separately). For projects that require an extended wheel, 3M Extended Die Grinder (sold separately), and the 936 unitized mandrel (sold separately) are good accessories to have on hand.

Scotch Brite Deburr and Finish PRO Unitized Wheels are ideal for maintenance operations. These hard-working, high-performance products last through dirt, corrosion and other contaminants while reducing the chance of changing part geometry — helping you get the job done faster.

    Scotch-Brite DP-UW Model

The Scotch-Brite Deburr & Finish Pro Unitized Wheel, model DP-UW, is designed for efficient metalworking tasks. This 3M product offers a reliable solution for deburring, finishing, and blending in one wheel, making it a versatile choice for professionals.

Its unitized wheel format ensures durability and strength, with a layered construction that differs from convolute wheels. This design helps maintain performance on edges and contours, enhancing the overall user experience.

    Medium+ Grade Benefits

This product features the 6C Medium+ grade, ideal for blending and deburring applications. The medium+ density balances aggressiveness and finish quality, providing fast and consistent results without overcutting.

Users can also choose from other grades like 4C MED+ for finishing and blending or 8C MED+ for heavier deburring, but the 6C Medium+ grade included in this pack is optimized for versatile use across various metal surfaces.

    Compact Dimensions Included

The wheels measure 3 inches by 1 inch by 1/4 inch, making them compact and easy to handle for detailed work. These dimensions allow the wheel to fit well in tight spaces and provide precise control during deburring and finishing tasks.

Such size compatibility is especially useful for projects involving threaded pipes, rotors, and turbine blades, where accuracy and accessibility are crucial for quality results.

    Unitized Wheel Format

The unitized wheel format offers a unique construction where the open web is cured and compressed for added strength. This format supports use in both clockwise and counter-clockwise directions, increasing flexibility in various applications.

It’s recommended to use this wheel with the 3M Die Grinder or the 3M Extended Die Grinder for extended reach, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance during maintenance or industrial operations.

    Pack Count Convenience

This product comes in a pack of 10 wheels per case, providing ample supply for ongoing projects. Having multiple wheels on hand reduces downtime and ensures consistent availability for continuous work.

The pack size supports industrial use where frequent wheel changes are necessary, making it a practical choice for maintenance teams and production lines requiring reliable deburring and finishing tools.
