  • Product Description
    • Durable, aggressive wheel for tough blending, finishing, and deburring on harder metals like stainless steel, carbon steel, high nickel alloys
    • Flexible, non-woven construction provides controlled abrasive action that helps prevent undercutting or gouging
    • High concentration of abrasive mineral is fast cutting and consistently produces a bright finish throughout the life of the wheel
    • Scotch-Brite material resists loading and wears at a uniform rate to provide continuous cutting action
    • Tightly layered, unitized construction can operate in clockwise or counterclockwise directions
Scotch-Brite Cut and Polish Unitized Wheel is a tightly layered, durable, unitized wheel available in medium to hard densities. The wheel works well for aggressive deburring, blending, and finishing on harder metals and for applications where portability is needed. This wheel provides an excellent starting point for jobs requiring the availability of small diameters and narrow widths.

Use our Scotch-Brite™ Cut and Polish Unitized Wheel to replace many conventional abrasive products such as rubber bonded wheels and small set-up wheels. The aluminum oxide mineral combined with a tough nylon web is ideally suited for producing uniform results. The tightly layered unitized construction and aggressive properties produce a smooth running, fast cutting wheel that runs cool and resists loading.

The Scotch-Brite™ Cut and Polish Unitized Wheel is filled with aluminum oxide abrasive mineral. We chose aluminum oxide because it is a popular choice among industrial professionals due to its cut-rate and long life. This mineral is a tough, durable abrasive that self-fractures to expose fresh cutting edges in use, whereas traditional abrasives, such as garnet, quickly wear down with use. Its high cut-rate, hardness, strength, and low heat retention all combine to make aluminum oxide mineral a good choice in grinding applications. Aluminum oxide is suitable on a wide variety of substrates in both woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys.

Our Scotch-Brite™ industrial abrasives are unique surface conditioning products with abrasives incorporated into non-woven nylon or synthetic fibers. Combining abrasives with the fibers creates an abrasive system that delivers consistent results for the life of the product. The open-web material runs cool and is load resistant, which keeps the abrasive minerals cutting at high performance by limiting clogging of the fibers.

    Scotch-Brite Brand Quality

The Scotch-Brite Cut and Polish Unitized Wheel, model CP-UW, is designed for tough blending and finishing tasks. This 7A Medium grade wheel offers durability and aggressive performance, making it ideal for working on harder metals like stainless steel and high nickel alloys.

Its unitized wheel format ensures consistent results and smooth operation. The medium grade balances cutting speed and finish quality, providing a reliable solution for various metalworking needs.

    Precise Size And Dimensions

This unitized wheel measures 3 inches by 3/4 inch by 3/8 inch, offering a compact size that fits many setups. These dimensions make it suitable for detailed deburring and polishing tasks where smaller diameters and narrow widths are required.

The wheel's size allows for easy handling and portability, making it a practical choice for jobs that demand precision and accessibility in tight spaces.

    Effective Abrasive Performance

The wheel features a high concentration of abrasive mineral that cuts fast and maintains a bright finish throughout its life. This abrasive action helps prevent undercutting or gouging thanks to the flexible, non-woven construction.

Its aluminum oxide mineral is tough and self-sharpens during use, ensuring long-lasting cutting power. This makes it a preferred choice for professionals seeking consistent and efficient grinding on ferrous alloys and other metals.

    Durable Unitized Construction

The tightly layered, unitized design of the Scotch-Brite CP-UW wheel allows it to operate in both clockwise and counterclockwise directions. This flexibility enhances its usability across different tools and applications.

Additionally, the Scotch-Brite material resists loading and wears evenly, providing continuous cutting action without clogging. This ensures the wheel runs cool and lasts longer during demanding tasks.

    Convenient Pack Size Included

This product comes in a pack of 10 wheels per case, making it easy to stock up for ongoing projects. Having multiple wheels on hand reduces downtime and ensures you’re ready for various finishing and deburring jobs.

The case quantity supports both professional workshops and industrial settings where frequent wheel replacement is necessary for maintaining productivity.
