  • Product Description
    • Durable, aggressive wheel for tough blending, finishing, and deburring on harder metals like stainless steel, carbon steel, high nickel alloys
    • Flexible, non-woven construction provides controlled abrasive action that helps prevent undercutting or gouging
    • High concentration of abrasive mineral is fast cutting and consistently produces a bright finish throughout the life of the wheel
    • Scotch-Brite material resists loading and wears at a uniform rate to provide continuous cutting action
    • Tightly layered, unitized construction can operate in clockwise or counterclockwise directions
Scotch-Brite Cut and Polish Unitized Wheel is a tightly layered, durable, unitized wheel available in medium to hard densities. The wheel works well for aggressive deburring, blending, and finishing on harder metals and for applications where portability is needed. This wheel provides an excellent starting point for jobs requiring the availability of small diameters and narrow widths.

Use our Scotch-Brite™ Cut and Polish Unitized Wheel to replace many conventional abrasive products such as rubber bonded wheels and small set-up wheels. The aluminum oxide mineral combined with a tough nylon web is ideally suited for producing uniform results. The tightly layered unitized construction and aggressive properties produce a smooth running, fast cutting wheel that runs cool and resists loading.

The Scotch-Brite™ Cut and Polish Unitized Wheel is filled with aluminum oxide abrasive mineral. We chose aluminum oxide because it is a popular choice among industrial professionals due to its cut-rate and long life. This mineral is a tough, durable abrasive that self-fractures to expose fresh cutting edges in use, whereas traditional abrasives, such as garnet, quickly wear down with use. Its high cut-rate, hardness, strength, and low heat retention all combine to make aluminum oxide mineral a good choice in grinding applications. Aluminum oxide is suitable on a wide variety of substrates in both woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys.

Our Scotch-Brite™ industrial abrasives are unique surface conditioning products with abrasives incorporated into non-woven nylon or synthetic fibers. Combining abrasives with the fibers creates an abrasive system that delivers consistent results for the life of the product. The open-web material runs cool and is load resistant, which keeps the abrasive minerals cutting at high performance by limiting clogging of the fibers.

    Trusted Scotch-Brite Model

The Scotch-Brite Cut and Polish Unitized Wheel, model CP-UW, offers a reliable solution for tough blending and finishing tasks. This durable wheel is designed specifically for use on harder metals like stainless steel and high nickel alloys, ensuring consistent performance.

Its unitized construction provides a tightly layered design that supports both clockwise and counterclockwise operation. This flexibility makes the CP-UW model a versatile choice for various metalworking applications.

    Precise Grade And Weight

This wheel features a 5A Fine grade, which balances aggressive cutting with a smooth finish. The fine grade helps prevent gouging or undercutting, making it ideal for detailed polishing and deburring work.

Thanks to its non-woven, flexible construction, the 5A Fine grade wheel delivers controlled abrasive action. This ensures a bright, consistent finish throughout the wheel’s life, enhancing the quality of your projects.

    Exact Dimensions Provided

The wheel measures 2 inches by 1/2 inch by 3/8 inch, offering a compact size perfect for precision tasks. These dimensions make it suitable for jobs requiring small diameters and narrow widths, where accuracy is key.

Its size also supports portability and ease of use in tight spaces. The compact format allows for efficient handling and setup, especially when working on detailed metal surfaces.

    Unitized Wheel Format

The unitized wheel format combines abrasive minerals with a tough nylon web, creating a durable and fast-cutting surface. This tightly layered construction resists loading and wears evenly, maintaining cutting action over time.

Because it runs cool and resists clogging, the wheel stays effective longer than many conventional abrasive products. This format is a great replacement for rubber bonded wheels and small set-up wheels.

    Convenient Pack Count

Each case contains 30 wheels, making it easy to stock up for ongoing projects. This pack size supports continuous work without frequent reordering, ideal for industrial or workshop settings.

Having 30 wheels per case ensures you have enough supply for multiple jobs or large-scale operations. It also offers good value by reducing the need for frequent purchases.
