3M Xtract Cubitron II Disc 775L features a 3M proprietary multi-hole pattern for improved dust extraction in finishing applications. Part of the 3M Xtract Series, designed for optimal dust removal. An innovative multi-hole pattern extracts dust better than 5- or 6-hole products — increasing cut and dramatically increasing disc life. The design does not need to align with the disc pad holes, making switching the discs fast, easy and convenient. Featuring ceramic 3M Precision-Shaped Grain, a revolutionary advancement in abrasive technology. The triangular shaped ceramic mineral is designed to slice through the substrate, rather than gouging or “plowing” like conventional abrasives, resulting in a disc that cuts up to 2x as fast as conventional abrasives. The film backing delivers outstanding tear resistance, flexibility and a consistent, uniform finish on a variety of substrates. These discs are ideal for a broad range of applications focused primarily on stock removal, and are effective on a wide variety of substrates, including metals, composites, gelcoat, and whitewood. The film backing offers greater tear resistance than paper discs, for additional durability and edge retention. For best results, pair with 3M Xtract Random Orbital Sanders. Open coat construction means the abrasive grains are placed with space between them to help evacuate dust and other sanding debris and avoid clogging the cutting edge of the grains. The load-resistant coating allows the disc to continue cutting even when sanding softwoods, paints, and other materials that would, otherwise, clog the disc and hinder sanding ability. All of this adds up to increased productivity and reduced material consumption. Sandpaper discs cut better and last longer when dust isn't loading the cutting surface of the abrasives. Our proprietary multi-hole pattern on 3M Xtract products removes dust at a higher rate than 5- or 6-hole products. This hole design doesn't even require alignment of holes with the disc pad, making disc changes quick and simple. For maximum dust extraction, use this disc with a 3M Xtract Back-up pad and a random orbital sander with vacuum (both sold separately).

    Trusted 3M Xtract Cubitron

The 3M Xtract Cubitron II Film Disc 775L is designed for reliable performance. This model features 3M's Precision-Shaped Grain technology, which cuts faster and lasts longer than conventional abrasives. It’s a trusted choice for professionals needing consistent results.

Its proprietary multi-hole pattern improves dust extraction, keeping the work area cleaner and boosting productivity. This disc is part of the 3M Xtract Series, known for superior dust removal and easy disc changes with the Hookit attachment system.

    Wide Grade Range Options

This product comes in grades 180+ as specified in the title, suitable for a variety of sanding tasks. The range from 80+ to 400+ grades covers everything from finishing to coarse sanding, making it versatile for many projects.

Choosing the right grade helps optimize stock removal and surface finish. The 180+ grade in this case balances aggressive cutting with smooth results, ideal for many metal and composite surfaces.

    Durable Film Backing Benefits

The 6 inch film backing on this disc offers greater tear resistance and edge retention compared to paper-backed alternatives. This durability means fewer disc replacements and less downtime during sanding jobs.

Film backing also provides flexibility and a uniform finish across various substrates. It’s especially effective on metals, composites, and wood, ensuring consistent sanding quality over time.

    Open Coat Construction Advantage

The open coat design spaces abrasive grains to prevent clogging and maintain cutting efficiency. This construction, combined with a load-resistant coating, keeps the disc cutting smoothly even on softwoods and painted surfaces.

This feature extends disc life and improves productivity by reducing sanding interruptions. It’s particularly useful for stock removal tasks where debris buildup can slow down work.

    Convenient Pack Size Format

This product is sold as a case of 250 discs, packaged in cartons of 50. This large pack size supports high-volume sanding needs and reduces the frequency of reordering.

The 6 inch disc size fits many standard random orbital sanders, making it easy to integrate into existing tool setups. The Hookit system also allows quick disc changes, saving time on the job.
