Versatile, Durable, Flexible
Use our versatile lightweight 3M Utility Cloth Sheet 314D on metal, wood, and plastic for hand or machine sanding.Closed coat aluminum oxide construction means its greater grain density achieves finer finishes than open coat sheets. This sheet is available in grades from 40 to 400 to suit various purposes. It is ideal for multiple metalworking applications on both ferrous and non-ferrous metals: deburring, blending and repairing metal finishes, rust or other contaminant removal, as well as surface preparation for paints and coatings.
The J-weight cloth backing provides the flexibility needed to sand circular edges or small pieces, without tearing as easily as paper or losing grit from folding or bending.
Sheets measure 11 inches in length by 9 inches in width. Utility cloth sheets are a good choice for general sanding and maintenance of metal or wood surfaces. Easily tear sheets by hand to resize as needed.
Trusted 3M Utility Cloth
The 3M Utility Cloth Sheet 314D offers reliable performance with a durable cloth backing. This backing is flexible enough for machine use, making it a solid choice for various sanding tasks.
Its P100 J-weight grade ensures effective sanding while maintaining strength. The sheet’s design supports both hand and machine applications, fitting many workshop needs.
Precise Size And Format
Each sheet measures 9 inches by 11 inches, providing a convenient size for many projects. The format allows easy handling and efficient coverage on different surfaces.
Sheets come in packs of 50, with 250 sheets per case, making it easy to stock up and reduce downtime. This quantity supports both small jobs and larger production runs.
Flexible Durable Backing
The J-weight cloth backing is designed to resist tearing better than paper alternatives. This flexibility helps when sanding curved edges or small parts without losing grit.
This durability means the sheet holds up well during folding or bending, extending its useful life. It’s ideal for tasks requiring both strength and adaptability.
Versatile Abrasive Performance
The closed coat aluminum oxide abrasive provides a dense grain structure for finer finishes. This makes it suitable for blending, deburring, and rust removal on metals and painted surfaces.
Its versatility extends to wood and plastic, allowing use across multiple materials. The sheet supports various metalworking applications, including surface preparation for coatings.
Convenient Tear-Off Sheets
Sheets can be torn by hand to size, reducing waste and improving convenience. This feature helps users customize sheet dimensions for specific tasks without extra tools.
Hand-tearing also speeds up workflow by allowing quick resizing on the job. This practical design suits general sanding and maintenance needs on metal and wood.
