3M Utility Cloth Sheet 211K provides a light-weight cloth sandpaper used for hand sanding. This closed coat product uses aluminum oxide mineral in its construction. These rolls come in a range of grades for common applications such as repairing (metal finishes, rust or other contaminant removal), deburring, blending and surface preparation for paints and coatings.

Our 3M Utility Cloth Sheet 211K works well for multiple metalworking applications on both ferrous and non-ferrous metals: deburring operations by hand or by machine; cleaning metals prior to welding; removing rust, and other contaminants; blending and repairing metal finishes; fine sanding and polishing applications; and surface preparation for paints and coatings.

Utility cloth sheets are a good choice for general sanding and maintenance of metal or wood surfaces. The cloth backing provides the flexibility needed to sand circular edges or small pieces, without tearing as easily as paper or losing grit from folding or bending. On the other hand, the cloth can be torn by hand when a smaller piece is needed.

Aluminum oxide is a popular choice among industrial professionals because of its fast cut-rate and long life. This mineral makes a tough, durable abrasive that self-fractures to expose fresh cutting edges, whereas traditional natural abrasives dull more quickly. Aluminum oxide is suitable for a wide variety of materials in both woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys.

    Trusted 3M Utility Cloth

The 3M Utility Cloth Sheet 211K is a reliable choice for sanding tasks. This product features a cloth backing that’s flexible and durable, making it suitable for machine use without tearing easily.

Its design supports both hand and machine sanding, providing versatility for various projects. The model 211K is known for consistent performance across different surfaces and applications.

    Precise 9 Inch Size

Each sheet measures 9 in x 11 in, offering a convenient size for handling and coverage. This dimension allows for easy manipulation on flat or contoured surfaces during sanding.

The size is ideal for both small repairs and larger surface preparations, fitting well in hand sanding or machine setups. It balances coverage with control for effective sanding results.

    Durable 220 J-Weight Backing

The 220 J-weight cloth backing provides a strong yet flexible base for the abrasive material. This weight supports durability while allowing the sheet to bend or twist as needed.

This backing is especially useful when working on curved or irregular shapes, maintaining grit adherence and reducing waste. It’s tough enough for repeated use without losing performance.

    Efficient 50 Pack Format

Sold in packs of 50 sheets, this format ensures you have plenty of material for ongoing projects. The pack size supports both professional and hobbyist needs, reducing frequent reordering.

Having 50 sheets per pack means you can tear off smaller pieces by hand for precise sizing, minimizing waste. This format is practical for various sanding tasks across different materials.

    Versatile Aluminum Oxide Abrasive

The sheets use fast-cutting aluminum oxide abrasive, known for its long life and effective sanding. This mineral is suitable for a wide range of tasks, including metal and wood surface preparation.

Aluminum oxide works well on both ferrous and non-ferrous metals, making these sheets ideal for deburring, rust removal, and finishing. The abrasive maintains sharpness by self-fracturing during use.
