3M Utility Cloth Sheet 211K provides a light-weight cloth sandpaper used for hand sanding. This closed coat product uses aluminum oxide mineral in its construction. These rolls come in a range of grades for common applications such as repairing (metal finishes, rust or other contaminant removal), deburring, blending and surface preparation for paints and coatings.

Our 3M Utility Cloth Sheet 211K works well for multiple metalworking applications on both ferrous and non-ferrous metals: deburring operations by hand or by machine; cleaning metals prior to welding; removing rust, and other contaminants; blending and repairing metal finishes; fine sanding and polishing applications; and surface preparation for paints and coatings.

Utility cloth sheets are a good choice for general sanding and maintenance of metal or wood surfaces. The cloth backing provides the flexibility needed to sand circular edges or small pieces, without tearing as easily as paper or losing grit from folding or bending. On the other hand, the cloth can be torn by hand when a smaller piece is needed.

Aluminum oxide is a popular choice among industrial professionals because of its fast cut-rate and long life. This mineral makes a tough, durable abrasive that self-fractures to expose fresh cutting edges, whereas traditional natural abrasives dull more quickly. Aluminum oxide is suitable for a wide variety of materials in both woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys.

    Trusted 3M Utility Cloth

The 3M Utility Cloth Sheet 211K is designed for reliable performance with a 150 J-weight cloth backing. This backing offers the right balance of flexibility and durability, making it suitable for both hand and machine sanding tasks.

Its cloth backing allows the sheet to bend and twist easily, adapting well to contours without tearing. This makes it ideal for detailed work where precision and adaptability matter.

    Precise 9 Inch Dimensions

Each sheet measures 9 inches by 11 inches, providing a convenient size for various sanding jobs. This dimension fits comfortably in hand and works well on both large and small surfaces.

The 9 in x 11 in size also allows for easy handling and control, making it suitable for tasks like deburring, blending, and surface preparation on metals and wood.

    Effective Aluminum Oxide Abrasive

These sheets use fast-cutting aluminum oxide abrasive, known for its long-lasting sharpness. The abrasive self-fractures to expose fresh edges, ensuring consistent sanding performance over time.

Aluminum oxide is versatile and works well on a variety of materials, including ferrous and non-ferrous metals, making these sheets a practical choice for metalworking and woodworking.

    Convenient 50 Pack Format

The product comes in a pack of 50 sheets, providing plenty of material for ongoing projects. This pack size supports both professional and DIY users who need a steady supply of sanding sheets.

Having 50 sheets on hand reduces the need for frequent reordering and ensures you can quickly replace worn sheets, keeping your work uninterrupted.

    Flexible Cloth Backing Benefits

The flexible cloth backing allows sheets to be torn by hand, offering easy customization of sheet size. This reduces waste and lets you tailor the sheet to the exact size needed for your task.

This flexibility also helps when sanding curved or irregular surfaces, as the cloth backing resists tearing better than paper and maintains grit even when folded or bent.
