Our 3M Stikit Paper Disc Roll 363I discs consist of tough aluminum oxide abrasive particles in a range of grit values bonded with resin on a heavy F-weight paper backing. They are well suited for stock removal and metal finishing, as well as random orbital sanding on both hardwoods and softwoods. The 3M Stikit Paper Disc Roll 363I disc resists wear during aggressive sanding, and its open-coat construction helps prevent clogging to maximize cut and the useful life of the disc.
We chose aluminum oxide abrasive, which is a popular choice among industrial professionals because of its fast cut-rate and long life. This mineral makes a tough, durable abrasive that self-fractures to expose fresh cutting edges. Due to its fast cut-rate, hardness, and strength, it is widely used in grinding applications in addition to sanding and finishing applications. Aluminum oxide is suitable for a wide variety of materials in both woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys.
Our 3M Stikit discs are designed to handle a wide range of sanding and finishing needs. These high-quality, coated abrasive products come ready to use with a pressure sensitive adhesive coating on the backside so they conveniently press on to the backup pad, and remove cleanly, leaving an uncontaminated surface for the next disc. A Stikit disc should be used in conjunction with a Stikit backup pad (also called a disc pad and sold separately) that is attached to a disc sander, random orbital sander, or stationary disc sander.
3M Stikit Paper Disc Roll 363I features an open coat that allows the disc to continue cutting even when sanding softwoods, paints, and other materials that would, otherwise, clog the surface of the disc and hinder sanding ability. In an open coat construction the abrasive grains are spaced slightly apart so that dust and debris have an outlet rather than loading the disc. Additionally, the open coat feature provides a more aggressive cut than a comparable closed coat abrasive of the same grade. These discs are typically used in woodworking and paint prep applications where loading is a problem.
Trusted 3M Stikit Model
The 3M Stikit Paper Disc Roll 363I is designed for professionals who need reliable sanding discs. This model features the trusted 3M Stikit adhesive backing, which allows quick application and easy removal, saving time during projects.
These discs are ideal for use with a Stikit backup pad, making them compatible with various sanders. The 363I model ensures consistent performance across different materials, enhancing your sanding experience.
Durable F-weight Backing
Each disc in the roll uses a heavy F-weight paper backing, providing the durability needed for both stock removal and finishing tasks. This backing supports the aluminum oxide abrasive for long-lasting use.
This sturdy backing makes the discs suitable for demanding sanding jobs on wood and metal. It helps maintain the disc's shape and effectiveness throughout the sanding process.
Convenient Disc Roll Format
The product comes as 100 discs per roll, with 4 rolls per case, offering a total of 400 discs. This roll format eliminates the hassle of removing liners from individual discs, speeding up your workflow.
Having discs in a roll also reduces waste and keeps your workspace organized. The 6 inch diameter and NH (non-hole) design fit well with many sanding tools, making these discs versatile.
Open Coat Clogging Prevention
These discs feature an open coat abrasive design that prevents clogging by spacing abrasive grains apart. This allows dust and debris to escape, maximizing cutting efficiency and extending disc life.
This open coat is especially useful when sanding softwoods, paints, or other clog-prone materials. It provides a more aggressive cut compared to closed coat abrasives of the same grade.
Heat-Resistant Resin Bond
The resin bond used in these discs resists heat buildup during sanding, which helps prolong the life of each disc. This feature is important for maintaining performance during extended use.
Combined with the P100 F-weight grade, the resin bond supports medium stock removal and consistent finishing on various surfaces. This makes the discs suitable for both woodworking and metalworking tasks.
