3M Stikit Paper Disc Roll 363I offers heavy duty paper discs capable of medium stock removal and consistent finishing on both wood and metal, with convenient adhesive backing ready for quick and easy attachment to a Stikit backup pad (sold separately), eliminating the need for disc liners. Standard and dust-free versions are available.

Our 3M Stikit Paper Disc Roll 363I discs consist of tough aluminum oxide abrasive particles in a range of grit values bonded with resin on a heavy F-weight paper backing. They are well suited for stock removal and metal finishing, as well as random orbital sanding on both hardwoods and softwoods. The 3M Stikit Paper Disc Roll 363I disc resists wear during aggressive sanding, and its open-coat construction helps prevent clogging to maximize cut and the useful life of the disc.

We chose aluminum oxide abrasive, which is a popular choice among industrial professionals because of its fast cut-rate and long life. This mineral makes a tough, durable abrasive that self-fractures to expose fresh cutting edges. Due to its fast cut-rate, hardness, and strength, it is widely used in grinding applications in addition to sanding and finishing applications. Aluminum oxide is suitable for a wide variety of materials in both woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys.

Our 3M Stikit discs are designed to handle a wide range of sanding and finishing needs. These high-quality, coated abrasive products come ready to use with a pressure sensitive adhesive coating on the backside so they conveniently press on to the backup pad, and remove cleanly, leaving an uncontaminated surface for the next disc. A Stikit disc should be used in conjunction with a Stikit backup pad (also called a disc pad and sold separately) that is attached to a disc sander, random orbital sander, or stationary disc sander.

3M Stikit Paper Disc Roll 363I features an open coat that allows the disc to continue cutting even when sanding softwoods, paints, and other materials that would, otherwise, clog the surface of the disc and hinder sanding ability. In an open coat construction the abrasive grains are spaced slightly apart so that dust and debris have an outlet rather than loading the disc. Additionally, the open coat feature provides a more aggressive cut than a comparable closed coat abrasive of the same grade. These discs are typically used in woodworking and paint prep applications where loading is a problem.

    Trusted 3M Stikit Model

The 3M Stikit Paper Disc Roll 363I is designed for quick and easy sanding tasks. This model features the Stikit adhesive backing, which lets you apply and remove discs fast without hassle. It’s a reliable choice for professionals who need efficiency on the job.

With the 363I model, you get discs that stick firmly to backup pads but peel off cleanly, saving time during disc changes. This adhesive system works well with Stikit backup pads, sold separately, making it a practical solution for various sanding tools.

    Heavy F-Weight Backing

The discs use a heavy F-weight paper backing, providing durability for tough sanding jobs. This backing supports both stock removal and finishing, ensuring the discs hold up under pressure and deliver consistent results.

This sturdy backing is ideal for sanding wood and metal surfaces, helping maintain disc shape and performance. It’s especially useful when paired with the 6-inch size, giving you a solid surface for effective sanding.

    Convenient Disc Roll Format

Each roll contains 100 discs, and the product comes with 4 rolls per case, making it easy to keep plenty of discs on hand. The roll format eliminates the need to peel liners from individual discs, speeding up your workflow.

This format is perfect for busy workshops or job sites where changing discs quickly matters. Having 400 discs in total ensures you won’t run out during large projects, especially when using the 6-inch discs with NH 180 F-weight grit.

    Open Coating Prevents Clogging

The open coat design spaces abrasive grains apart to prevent clogging, which keeps the discs cutting efficiently for longer. This feature is important when sanding softwoods, paints, or other materials that tend to clog abrasives.

Thanks to this open coating, the discs maintain a more aggressive cut compared to closed coat abrasives of the same grade. This makes them well suited for woodworking and paint prep tasks where clogging is a common issue.

    Durable Aluminum Oxide Abrasive

The 3M Stikit discs use aluminum oxide abrasive on the paper backing, known for its fast cut rate and long life. This mineral is tough and self-fractures to expose fresh edges, making it effective for both wood and metal sanding.

Aluminum oxide is widely used in industrial sanding because it handles a variety of materials well, including ferrous alloys. Combined with the resin bond that resists heat, these discs last longer during aggressive sanding tasks.
