The open-coat construction and load-resistant coating help prevent clogging to maximize cut and the useful life of the disc. 3M Stikit Paper Disc Roll 236U can be used for sanding and finishing on many different surfaces, such as paint, primer, softwood, metal, plastic, hard and soft composites, and fiberglass.
Our 3M Stikit discs are designed to handle a wide range of sanding and finishing needs. These high-quality, coated abrasive products come ready to use with a pressure sensitive adhesive coating on the backside so they conveniently press on to the backup pad, and remove cleanly, leaving an uncontaminated surface for the next disc. The Stikit disc should be used in conjunction with our 3M Stikit backup pad (also called a disc pad and sold separately) that is attached to a disc sander, random orbital sander, or stationary disc sander.
Aluminum oxide is a popular choice among industrial professionals because of its fast cut-rate and long life. This mineral makes a tough, durable abrasive that self-fractures to expose fresh cutting edges, whereas traditional natural abrasives dull more quickly. Due to its fast cut-rate, hardness, and strength, it is widely used in grinding applications in addition to sanding and finishing applications. Aluminum oxide is suitable for a wide variety of materials in both woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys.
3M Stikit Paper Discs feature a load-resistant coating that allows the disc to continue cutting even when sanding softwoods, paints, and other materials that would, otherwise, clog the surface of the disc and hinder sanding ability. An open coat means the abrasive grains are spaced slightly apart so that dust can escape rather than loading the cutting edge of the grains, thereby optimizing cut-rate and disc life.
Trusted 3M Stikit Model
The 3M Stikit Paper Disc Roll 236U is designed for professionals needing reliable sanding discs. This model features the trusted 3M brand known for quality abrasives that deliver consistent performance.
With the 236U model, you get a product that fits seamlessly into your sanding workflow, ensuring quick application and easy removal thanks to its adhesive backing system.
Precise Six Inch Size
Each disc measures 6 inches in diameter, making it ideal for a wide range of sanding tasks. The 6-inch size fits many standard disc sanders, providing versatility for different projects.
The discs also include NH 6 holes, which help with dust extraction and improve sanding efficiency. This size and hole pattern support cleaner work and longer disc life.
Durable C-weight Backing
The discs use a strong C-weight paper backing, which offers extra durability compared to lighter paper options. This backing resists wear during aggressive sanding, extending the life of each disc.
This durable backing supports the aluminum oxide mineral abrasive, ensuring the discs hold up well on tough surfaces and maintain their shape through heavy use.
Grade P150 Abrasive Quality
These discs come with a P150 grit, providing a medium level of abrasiveness suitable for smoothing surfaces and preparing materials for finishing. This grade balances cutting speed and surface finish quality.
The P150 grade works well on various materials including paint, primer, softwood, metal, and composites, making it a versatile choice for many sanding and finishing applications.
Convenient Roll Format
Each roll contains 100 discs, and the case includes 4 rolls, totaling 400 discs per case. This format eliminates the need to remove liners from individual discs, saving time during sanding jobs.
The roll format also helps keep discs organized and ready for use, making it easier to maintain productivity on the job without frequent interruptions.
