The open-coat construction and load-resistant coating help prevent clogging to maximize cut and the useful life of the disc. 3M Stikit Paper Disc Roll 236U can be used for sanding and finishing on many different surfaces, such as paint, primer, softwood, metal, plastic, hard and soft composites, and fiberglass.
Our 3M Stikit discs are designed to handle a wide range of sanding and finishing needs. These high-quality, coated abrasive products come ready to use with a pressure sensitive adhesive coating on the backside so they conveniently press on to the backup pad, and remove cleanly, leaving an uncontaminated surface for the next disc. The Stikit disc should be used in conjunction with our 3M Stikit backup pad (also called a disc pad and sold separately) that is attached to a disc sander, random orbital sander, or stationary disc sander.
Aluminum oxide is a popular choice among industrial professionals because of its fast cut-rate and long life. This mineral makes a tough, durable abrasive that self-fractures to expose fresh cutting edges, whereas traditional natural abrasives dull more quickly. Due to its fast cut-rate, hardness, and strength, it is widely used in grinding applications in addition to sanding and finishing applications. Aluminum oxide is suitable for a wide variety of materials in both woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys.
3M Stikit Paper Discs feature a load-resistant coating that allows the disc to continue cutting even when sanding softwoods, paints, and other materials that would, otherwise, clog the surface of the disc and hinder sanding ability. An open coat means the abrasive grains are spaced slightly apart so that dust can escape rather than loading the cutting edge of the grains, thereby optimizing cut-rate and disc life.
Trusted 3M Stikit Model
The 3M Stikit Paper Disc Roll 236U is designed for professionals who need reliable sanding discs. This model features the trusted 3M brand and Stikit adhesive backing, making application quick and removal easy without residue.
Its adhesive backing works perfectly with 3M Stikit backup pads (sold separately), ensuring discs stay firmly in place during use. This model is ideal for those who want a hassle-free sanding experience with consistent performance.
Durable C-Weight Backing
This product uses a strong C-weight paper backing, which offers extra durability compared to lighter paper options. The backing resists wear during aggressive sanding, helping the discs last longer under tough conditions.
Because of this sturdy backing, the discs maintain their shape and effectiveness on various surfaces, including paint, primer, and metal. This makes the 6 in x NH 6 Hole discs suitable for demanding sanding tasks.
Efficient 6 Inch Size
The discs measure 6 inches in diameter and feature NH 6 Hole patterns, which fit many standard sanding machines. This size balances coverage and control, allowing users to work efficiently on different materials.
With the 6-inch dimension, these discs are compatible with random orbital sanders and stationary disc sanders, making them versatile for woodworking, metalworking, and finishing projects.
Grade P120 Abrasive
The P120 C-weight grade provides a medium-fine abrasive level, suitable for smoothing surfaces and preparing them for finishing. This grade is effective on softwood, metal, plastic, and composites.
Using P120 discs ensures a balance between cutting speed and surface finish quality. The aluminum oxide mineral abrasive cuts fast and lasts longer, making it a popular choice for many sanding applications.
Convenient Roll Format
Each roll contains 100 discs, and the case includes 4 rolls, providing a total of 400 discs for extended use. This roll format eliminates the need to remove liners from individual discs, saving time during application.
The roll packaging is ideal for busy workshops or production environments where quick access to discs is important. It also helps keep discs organized and protected until use.
