  • Product Description
    • A-weight light paper backing is suitable for finishing applications
    • Aluminum oxide mineral is durable, cuts fast, and performs well on many surfaces

The 3M Stikit Gold Paper Disc Roll 216U is designed for convenience, combining open coat aluminum oxide discs with a handy adhesive backing ready for easy attachment to a Stikit backup pad (sold separately). This disc roll makes the discs easy to grab while eliminating the use of disc liners.

Designed for use with a random orbital sander, our discs are made of long-lasting aluminum oxide abrasive grains on a light A-weight paper backing suitable for lightweight sanding and finishing. The open coat and load-resistant coating help prevent loading for a longer service life, and make 3M Stikit Gold Paper Disc Roll 216U discs well-suited for general sanding and finishing applications on a variety of substrates, including paint, primer, wood, metal, plastic, and composites, including fiberglass.

3M Stikit discs are designed to handle a wide range of sanding and finishing needs. These high-quality, coated abrasive products come ready to use with a pressure sensitive adhesive coating on the backside so they conveniently press on to the backup pad, and remove cleanly, leaving an uncontaminated surface for the next disc. A Stikit disc should be used in conjunction with a Stikit backup pad (also called a disc pad and sold separately) that is attached to a random orbital sander.

Loading occurs when wood or paint dust clogs the surface of the disc and the abrasive points, which can quickly make the disc ineffective. Open coat construction means the abrasive grains are spaced so that dust and debris can collect in the spaces rather than loading the disc. Additionally, the open coat feature provides a more aggressive cut than a comparable closed coat abrasive of the same grade, for faster results.

    Trusted 3M Stikit Model

The 3M Stikit Gold Paper Disc Roll 216U offers a reliable sanding solution from a well-known brand. This model is designed for easy use with a Stikit backup pad, making it a smart choice for professionals and DIYers alike.

Its adhesive backing means discs stick firmly during use and remove cleanly afterward. This feature enhances convenience and reduces downtime, helping you stay productive on the job.

    Precise P400 A-weight Grade

These discs come in a P400 A-weight grade, ideal for finishing applications that require a light touch. The A-weight paper backing supports smooth sanding without being too aggressive, perfect for delicate surfaces.

Using the P400 grade ensures you get consistent results on materials like paint, primer, and wood. It’s a great choice when you need fine sanding before painting or sealing.

    Generous 8 Inch Size

Each disc measures 8 inches in diameter, providing ample surface area for efficient sanding. This size fits many standard random orbital sanders, making it versatile for various projects.

The 8-inch dimension allows for quick coverage of larger surfaces, reducing the time spent on each task. It’s especially useful when working on wood, metal, or composite materials.

    Convenient Roll Format

The discs come in a roll format with 125 discs per roll, and 4 rolls per case. This packaging eliminates liners, so you can grab discs quickly and keep your workflow moving smoothly.

Having 500 discs in total means you’re well-stocked for extended projects or multiple jobs. The roll form also helps reduce waste and storage space compared to sheets or individual discs.

    Durable Die 800L Construction

Featuring Die 800L technology, these discs are built to last with a load-resistant coating that prevents premature clogging. This extends the life of the abrasive grains and maintains cutting performance.

The open coat aluminum oxide mineral cuts fast and handles dust well, making it suitable for sanding paint, primer, wood, metal, and plastics. This durability ensures fewer disc changes and better productivity.
