  • Product Description
    • A-weight light paper backing is suitable for finishing applications
    • Aluminum oxide mineral is durable, cuts fast, and performs well on many surfaces
    • Convenient roll form means no liners to remove, increasing productivity
    • Load-resistant coating helps prevent premature loading of the disc surface to maximize cut and extend the life of the abrasive grains
    • Open coat construction minimizes dust on the abrasive and workpiece for increased productivity
The 3M Stikit Gold Paper Disc Roll 216U is designed for convenience, combining open coat aluminum oxide discs with a handy adhesive backing ready for easy attachment to a Stikit backup pad (sold separately). This disc roll makes the discs easy to grab while eliminating the use of disc liners.

Designed for use with a random orbital sander, our discs are made of long-lasting aluminum oxide abrasive grains on a light A-weight paper backing suitable for lightweight sanding and finishing. The open coat and load-resistant coating help prevent loading for a longer service life, and make 3M Stikit Gold Paper Disc Roll 216U discs well-suited for general sanding and finishing applications on a variety of substrates, including paint, primer, wood, metal, plastic, and composites, including fiberglass.

3M Stikit discs are designed to handle a wide range of sanding and finishing needs. These high-quality, coated abrasive products come ready to use with a pressure sensitive adhesive coating on the backside so they conveniently press on to the backup pad, and remove cleanly, leaving an uncontaminated surface for the next disc. A Stikit disc should be used in conjunction with a Stikit backup pad (also called a disc pad and sold separately) that is attached to a random orbital sander.

Loading occurs when wood or paint dust clogs the surface of the disc and the abrasive points, which can quickly make the disc ineffective. Open coat construction means the abrasive grains are spaced so that dust and debris can collect in the spaces rather than loading the disc. Additionally, the open coat feature provides a more aggressive cut than a comparable closed coat abrasive of the same grade, for faster results.

    Trusted 3M Stikit Model

The 3M Stikit Gold Paper Disc Roll 216U offers a reliable sanding solution with a trusted brand behind it. This model is designed for easy use with a Stikit backup pad, making it a convenient choice for professionals and hobbyists alike.

Its adhesive backing allows quick attachment and removal, speeding up your workflow. The 216U model ensures consistent performance across various sanding tasks.

    Durable P220 A-weight Grade

Featuring a P220 A-weight grade, these discs provide a fine finish suitable for light sanding and finishing applications. The grade ensures a balance between material removal and surface smoothness.

This grade works well on multiple surfaces, including paint, primer, wood, and metal, making it versatile for many projects requiring a smooth finish.

    Convenient 6 Inch Size

The discs measure 6 inches in diameter, fitting standard random orbital sanders. This size offers good coverage and control for detailed sanding tasks.

With a 6-inch size, the discs are easy to handle and replace, helping maintain productivity during sanding jobs of various scales.

    Efficient Roll Format

This product comes as a roll of 175 discs, eliminating the need for liners and reducing waste. The roll format allows you to quickly tear off the exact number of discs needed.

Each case contains 6 rolls, providing a large supply for extended use. This format supports continuous work without frequent restocking.

    High-Performance Die 600Z

The Die 600Z backing enhances durability and flexibility, supporting fast cutting with aluminum oxide mineral abrasive. This backing type helps the discs conform to surfaces for better sanding results.

Combined with the open coat construction, the discs resist loading and maintain cutting efficiency, extending the life of each disc during use.
