  • Product Description
    • A-weight light paper backing is suitable for finishing applications
    • Aluminum oxide mineral is durable, cuts fast, and performs well on many surfaces
    • Convenient roll form means no liners to remove, increasing productivity
    • Load-resistant coating helps prevent premature loading of the disc surface to maximize cut and extend the life of the abrasive grains
    • Open coat construction minimizes dust on the abrasive and workpiece for increased productivity
The 3M Stikit Gold Paper Disc Roll 216U is designed for convenience, combining open coat aluminum oxide discs with a handy adhesive backing ready for easy attachment to a Stikit backup pad (sold separately). This disc roll makes the discs easy to grab while eliminating the use of disc liners.

Designed for use with a random orbital sander, our discs are made of long-lasting aluminum oxide abrasive grains on a light A-weight paper backing suitable for lightweight sanding and finishing. The open coat and load-resistant coating help prevent loading for a longer service life, and make 3M Stikit Gold Paper Disc Roll 216U discs well-suited for general sanding and finishing applications on a variety of substrates, including paint, primer, wood, metal, plastic, and composites, including fiberglass.

3M Stikit discs are designed to handle a wide range of sanding and finishing needs. These high-quality, coated abrasive products come ready to use with a pressure sensitive adhesive coating on the backside so they conveniently press on to the backup pad, and remove cleanly, leaving an uncontaminated surface for the next disc. A Stikit disc should be used in conjunction with a Stikit backup pad (also called a disc pad and sold separately) that is attached to a random orbital sander.

Loading occurs when wood or paint dust clogs the surface of the disc and the abrasive points, which can quickly make the disc ineffective. Open coat construction means the abrasive grains are spaced so that dust and debris can collect in the spaces rather than loading the disc. Additionally, the open coat feature provides a more aggressive cut than a comparable closed coat abrasive of the same grade, for faster results.

    Reliable 3M Stikit Gold

The 3M Stikit Gold Paper Disc Roll 216U offers dependable quality with its trusted brand and model. This product is designed for finishing tasks, providing consistent performance across various surfaces.

Its A-weight light paper backing supports smooth finishing applications, making it ideal for users who need reliable results. The adhesive backing simplifies attachment to Stikit backup pads, enhancing convenience.

    Precise P220 A-weight Grade

This roll features the P220 A-weight grade, which is perfect for fine sanding and finishing jobs. The grade ensures a balance between material removal and surface smoothness.

Users can expect effective sanding on paint, primer, wood, metal, plastic, and composites. The P220 grade helps achieve a refined finish without damaging delicate surfaces.

    Convenient 5 Inch Size

Each disc measures 5 inches in diameter, fitting standard random orbital sanders. This size is versatile for a range of sanding tasks, from small to medium surfaces.

The 5 in x NH die cut format allows easy tearing from the roll and quick application. This dimension supports efficient workflow and reduces downtime during sanding projects.

    Efficient Roll Format

The product comes in a roll format with 175 discs per roll, eliminating the need for liners. This design boosts productivity by making discs easy to grab and apply.

With 6 rolls per case, users have a large supply ready for extended use. The roll form also reduces waste and storage space compared to pre-cut discs.

    Durable Aluminum Oxide

These discs use aluminum oxide mineral, known for durability and fast cutting. This abrasive performs well on many surfaces, extending the life of each disc.

The load-resistant coating prevents premature loading, maintaining cutting efficiency. Open coat construction minimizes dust buildup, keeping both the disc and workpiece cleaner.
