  • Product Description
    • A-weight light paper backing is suitable for finishing applications
    • Aluminum oxide mineral is durable, cuts fast, and performs well on many surfaces
    • Convenient roll form means no liners to remove, increasing productivity
    • Load-resistant coating helps prevent premature loading of the disc surface to maximize cut and extend the life of the abrasive grains
    • Open coat construction minimizes dust on the abrasive and workpiece for increased productivity
The 3M Stikit Gold Paper Disc Roll 216U is designed for convenience, combining open coat aluminum oxide discs with a handy adhesive backing ready for easy attachment to a Stikit backup pad (sold separately). This disc roll makes the discs easy to grab while eliminating the use of disc liners.

Designed for use with a random orbital sander, our discs are made of long-lasting aluminum oxide abrasive grains on a light A-weight paper backing suitable for lightweight sanding and finishing. The open coat and load-resistant coating help prevent loading for a longer service life, and make 3M Stikit Gold Paper Disc Roll 216U discs well-suited for general sanding and finishing applications on a variety of substrates, including paint, primer, wood, metal, plastic, and composites, including fiberglass.

3M Stikit discs are designed to handle a wide range of sanding and finishing needs. These high-quality, coated abrasive products come ready to use with a pressure sensitive adhesive coating on the backside so they conveniently press on to the backup pad, and remove cleanly, leaving an uncontaminated surface for the next disc. A Stikit disc should be used in conjunction with a Stikit backup pad (also called a disc pad and sold separately) that is attached to a random orbital sander.

Loading occurs when wood or paint dust clogs the surface of the disc and the abrasive points, which can quickly make the disc ineffective. Open coat construction means the abrasive grains are spaced so that dust and debris can collect in the spaces rather than loading the disc. Additionally, the open coat feature provides a more aggressive cut than a comparable closed coat abrasive of the same grade, for faster results.

    Trusted 3M Stikit Model

The 3M Stikit Gold Paper Disc Roll 216U offers reliable performance with a trusted brand and model. This product is designed for easy use with a Stikit backup pad, making it a convenient choice for sanding tasks.

Its adhesive backing allows quick attachment and removal, improving workflow. The model 216U ensures compatibility with various sanding tools, enhancing productivity on the job.

    Precise P150 A-weight Grade

This disc roll features a P150 A-weight grade, ideal for finishing applications. The light paper backing supports gentle sanding without damaging surfaces, perfect for detailed work.

Using the P150 grade helps achieve smooth finishes on materials like wood, paint, and primer. It balances cutting power and surface care for professional results.

    Convenient 6 Inch Size

Each disc measures 6 inches in diameter, fitting standard random orbital sanders. This size offers a good balance between coverage and control during sanding tasks.

The 6-inch discs are easy to handle and replace, making them suitable for both large and small projects. Their size supports efficient sanding on various surfaces.

    Efficient Roll Format

The roll format contains 175 discs per roll, eliminating the need for liners and saving time. This design boosts productivity by allowing quick disc access and application.

With 6 rolls per case, users get a large supply for extended use. The roll form is practical for busy workshops and professional settings.

    Durable Die 600Z Backing

The discs use Die 600Z backing, providing strength and flexibility during sanding. This backing supports the abrasive grains and helps maintain disc shape under pressure.

Die 600Z backing enhances durability, making the discs last longer on tough surfaces. It’s a key feature for consistent sanding performance across multiple materials.
