  • Product Description
    • A-weight light paper backing is suitable for finishing applications
    • Aluminum oxide mineral is durable, cuts fast, and performs well on many surfaces

The 3M Stikit Gold Paper Disc Roll 216U is designed for convenience, combining open coat aluminum oxide discs with a handy adhesive backing ready for easy attachment to a Stikit backup pad (sold separately). This disc roll makes the discs easy to grab while eliminating the use of disc liners.

Designed for use with a random orbital sander, our discs are made of long-lasting aluminum oxide abrasive grains on a light A-weight paper backing suitable for lightweight sanding and finishing. The open coat and load-resistant coating help prevent loading for a longer service life, and make 3M Stikit Gold Paper Disc Roll 216U discs well-suited for general sanding and finishing applications on a variety of substrates, including paint, primer, wood, metal, plastic, and composites, including fiberglass.

3M Stikit discs are designed to handle a wide range of sanding and finishing needs. These high-quality, coated abrasive products come ready to use with a pressure sensitive adhesive coating on the backside so they conveniently press on to the backup pad, and remove cleanly, leaving an uncontaminated surface for the next disc. A Stikit disc should be used in conjunction with a Stikit backup pad (also called a disc pad and sold separately) that is attached to a random orbital sander.

Loading occurs when wood or paint dust clogs the surface of the disc and the abrasive points, which can quickly make the disc ineffective. Open coat construction means the abrasive grains are spaced so that dust and debris can collect in the spaces rather than loading the disc. Additionally, the open coat feature provides a more aggressive cut than a comparable closed coat abrasive of the same grade, for faster results.

    3M Stikit Gold Model

The 3M Stikit Gold Paper Disc Roll 216U offers a trusted brand and model known for quality sanding products. This model features a P100 A-weight grade, ideal for fine finishing tasks.

Its design combines the 3M brand's reliability with a specific model number 216U, ensuring you get consistent performance for your sanding needs. The P100 grade provides a balance of durability and smooth results.

    Durable Paper Backing Finish

This product uses an A-weight light paper backing, which is perfect for finishing applications. The backing supports the aluminum oxide mineral to deliver fast cutting and long-lasting use.

The 6 inch by NH size fits well on many sanding tools, making it versatile for various surfaces like wood, metal, and composites. The paper backing also helps maintain a smooth finish without damaging delicate surfaces.

    Convenient Roll Format

The discs come in a roll format with 175 discs per roll, totaling 10 rolls per case. This roll design eliminates liners, making it easier and faster to grab discs during work.

Having 10 rolls per case means you have a large supply ready for extended projects. The roll format also reduces waste and increases productivity by simplifying disc handling.

    Advanced Abrasive Technology

Featuring aluminum oxide mineral, these discs cut fast and perform well on many surfaces. The load-resistant coating prevents premature loading, extending the life of the abrasive grains.

The open coat construction minimizes dust buildup on both the disc and the workpiece. This design improves cutting efficiency and keeps your workspace cleaner during sanding.

    Large Pack Count Benefits

With 175 discs per roll and 10 rolls per case, this pack size supports high-volume sanding jobs without frequent reordering. It’s ideal for professionals who need consistent supplies.

The pack count ensures you have enough discs for various projects, reducing downtime. The 6 inch size and NH die 600Z format fit well with standard random orbital sanders for easy use.
