  • Product Description
    • A-weight light paper backing is suitable for finishing applications
    • Aluminum oxide mineral is durable, cuts fast, and performs well on many surfaces

The 3M Stikit Gold Paper Disc Roll 216U is designed for convenience, combining open coat aluminum oxide discs with a handy adhesive backing ready for easy attachment to a Stikit backup pad (sold separately). This disc roll makes the discs easy to grab while eliminating the use of disc liners.

Designed for use with a random orbital sander, our discs are made of long-lasting aluminum oxide abrasive grains on a light A-weight paper backing suitable for lightweight sanding and finishing. The open coat and load-resistant coating help prevent loading for a longer service life, and make 3M Stikit Gold Paper Disc Roll 216U discs well-suited for general sanding and finishing applications on a variety of substrates, including paint, primer, wood, metal, plastic, and composites, including fiberglass.

3M Stikit discs are designed to handle a wide range of sanding and finishing needs. These high-quality, coated abrasive products come ready to use with a pressure sensitive adhesive coating on the backside so they conveniently press on to the backup pad, and remove cleanly, leaving an uncontaminated surface for the next disc. A Stikit disc should be used in conjunction with a Stikit backup pad (also called a disc pad and sold separately) that is attached to a random orbital sander.

Loading occurs when wood or paint dust clogs the surface of the disc and the abrasive points, which can quickly make the disc ineffective. Open coat construction means the abrasive grains are spaced so that dust and debris can collect in the spaces rather than loading the disc. Additionally, the open coat feature provides a more aggressive cut than a comparable closed coat abrasive of the same grade, for faster results.

    Trusted 3M Stikit Model

The 3M Stikit Gold Paper Disc Roll 216U offers reliable performance with a trusted brand and model. This product is designed for easy attachment to a Stikit backup pad, making it a convenient choice for sanding tasks.

Its adhesive backing eliminates the need for liners, speeding up your workflow. The 216U model is well-suited for finishing applications thanks to its thoughtful design and quality.

    Durable P100 A-weight Grade

This roll features a P100 A-weight grade, providing a balance of durability and fine sanding capability. The A-weight light paper backing supports finishing work without being too aggressive.

Its aluminum oxide mineral cuts fast and lasts long, making it effective on various surfaces. This grade is ideal for users needing consistent, smooth results on paint, primer, wood, and more.

    Convenient 5 Inch Size

The discs come in a 5 inch diameter, a common size for random orbital sanders. This size fits well with many sanding tools, offering versatility for different projects.

With a 5 in x NH die cut, the discs are easy to handle and apply. This dimension supports efficient sanding and finishing on a variety of materials.

    Efficient Roll Format

The product is supplied as a roll format with 125 discs per roll, allowing you to grab discs quickly without liners. This format increases productivity by reducing prep time.

Each case contains 10 rolls, totaling 1250 discs, which is ideal for high-volume sanding needs. The roll form also helps keep discs organized and accessible during work.

    Load-Resistant Open Coat

The open coat construction minimizes dust buildup on the abrasive and workpiece, helping to prevent loading. This feature keeps the disc cutting efficiently for longer periods.

Additionally, the load-resistant coating extends the life of the abrasive grains, making the discs suitable for general sanding on wood, metal, plastic, and composites like fiberglass.
