  • Product Description
    • A-weight light paper backing is suitable for finishing applications
    • Aluminum oxide mineral is durable, cuts fast, and performs well on many surfaces
    • Convenient roll form means no liners to remove, increasing productivity
    • Load-resistant coating helps prevent premature loading of the disc surface to maximize cut and extend the life of the abrasive grains
    • Open coat construction minimizes dust on the abrasive and workpiece for increased productivity
The 3M Stikit Gold Paper Disc Roll 216U is designed for convenience, combining open coat aluminum oxide discs with a handy adhesive backing ready for easy attachment to a Stikit backup pad (sold separately). This disc roll makes the discs easy to grab while eliminating the use of disc liners.

Designed for use with a random orbital sander, our discs are made of long-lasting aluminum oxide abrasive grains on a light A-weight paper backing suitable for lightweight sanding and finishing. The open coat and load-resistant coating help prevent loading for a longer service life, and make 3M Stikit Gold Paper Disc Roll 216U discs well-suited for general sanding and finishing applications on a variety of substrates, including paint, primer, wood, metal, plastic, and composites, including fiberglass.

3M Stikit discs are designed to handle a wide range of sanding and finishing needs. These high-quality, coated abrasive products come ready to use with a pressure sensitive adhesive coating on the backside so they conveniently press on to the backup pad, and remove cleanly, leaving an uncontaminated surface for the next disc. A Stikit disc should be used in conjunction with a Stikit backup pad (also called a disc pad and sold separately) that is attached to a random orbital sander.

Loading occurs when wood or paint dust clogs the surface of the disc and the abrasive points, which can quickly make the disc ineffective. Open coat construction means the abrasive grains are spaced so that dust and debris can collect in the spaces rather than loading the disc. Additionally, the open coat feature provides a more aggressive cut than a comparable closed coat abrasive of the same grade, for faster results.

    Trusted 3M Stikit Model

The 3M Stikit Gold Paper Disc Roll 216U offers reliable performance with a trusted brand name. This model is designed to work seamlessly with Stikit backup pads, making it easy to attach and remove discs during sanding tasks.

Its adhesive backing eliminates the need for liners, speeding up your workflow. The 3M brand ensures quality and consistency across all 175 discs per roll, providing dependable results every time.

    Precise 5 Inch Size

Each disc measures 5 inches in diameter, a common size that fits many random orbital sanders. This size is ideal for finishing applications where control and coverage are important.

Using 5 inch discs allows for efficient sanding on various surfaces, including wood, metal, and composites. The size balances ease of handling with effective surface contact for smooth finishes.

    Durable P360 A-weight Grade

The P360 A-weight grade provides a fine abrasive suitable for light finishing work. This grade is perfect for smoothing surfaces without removing too much material, making it ideal for paint and primer preparation.

Its light paper backing supports delicate sanding tasks while the aluminum oxide mineral ensures durability. This combination extends disc life and maintains consistent performance throughout use.

    Convenient Roll Format

The discs come in a roll format with 175 discs per roll and 6 rolls per case, offering a large supply for ongoing projects. This format reduces waste and increases productivity by eliminating liners and simplifying disc handling.

Rolling discs are easy to store and dispense, helping keep your workspace organized. The roll design also speeds up disc changes, so you spend more time sanding and less time preparing.

    Effective Load-Resistant Coating

These discs feature a load-resistant coating that prevents dust and debris from clogging the abrasive surface. This keeps the discs cutting efficiently for longer periods, reducing downtime for cleaning or replacement.

The open coat construction also minimizes dust buildup on both the disc and workpiece. This design improves sanding speed and quality on a variety of materials, including plastic and fiberglass.
