  • Product Description
    • A-weight light paper backing is suitable for finishing applications
    • Aluminum oxide mineral is durable, cuts fast, and performs well on many surfaces
    • Convenient roll form means no liners to remove, increasing productivity
    • Load-resistant coating helps prevent premature loading of the disc surface to maximize cut and extend the life of the abrasive grains
    • Open coat construction minimizes dust on the abrasive and workpiece for increased productivity
The 3M Stikit Gold Paper Disc Roll 216U is designed for convenience, combining open coat aluminum oxide discs with a handy adhesive backing ready for easy attachment to a Stikit backup pad (sold separately). This disc roll makes the discs easy to grab while eliminating the use of disc liners.

Designed for use with a random orbital sander, our discs are made of long-lasting aluminum oxide abrasive grains on a light A-weight paper backing suitable for lightweight sanding and finishing. The open coat and load-resistant coating help prevent loading for a longer service life, and make 3M Stikit Gold Paper Disc Roll 216U discs well-suited for general sanding and finishing applications on a variety of substrates, including paint, primer, wood, metal, plastic, and composites, including fiberglass.

3M Stikit discs are designed to handle a wide range of sanding and finishing needs. These high-quality, coated abrasive products come ready to use with a pressure sensitive adhesive coating on the backside so they conveniently press on to the backup pad, and remove cleanly, leaving an uncontaminated surface for the next disc. A Stikit disc should be used in conjunction with a Stikit backup pad (also called a disc pad and sold separately) that is attached to a random orbital sander.

Loading occurs when wood or paint dust clogs the surface of the disc and the abrasive points, which can quickly make the disc ineffective. Open coat construction means the abrasive grains are spaced so that dust and debris can collect in the spaces rather than loading the disc. Additionally, the open coat feature provides a more aggressive cut than a comparable closed coat abrasive of the same grade, for faster results.

    Trusted 3M Stikit Model

The 3M Stikit Gold Paper Disc Roll 216U offers reliable performance with a well-known brand and model. This product is designed for easy use with a Stikit backup pad, making it a trusted choice for sanding tasks.

Its adhesive backing ensures quick attachment and removal, helping you work efficiently. The model 216U is part of 3M’s quality lineup, known for consistent results in finishing and sanding applications.

    Precise 5 Inch Size

Each disc in this roll measures 5 inches in diameter, providing a perfect fit for many random orbital sanders. This size balances surface coverage and control, making it suitable for detailed finishing work.

The 5-inch discs come with NH 5 holes, designed to align with dust extraction systems. This helps keep your workspace cleaner and improves sanding efficiency by reducing dust buildup.

    Durable P400 Grade

The discs feature a P400 grade, ideal for fine sanding and finishing tasks. This grade allows for smooth results on various surfaces without aggressive material removal.

With an A-weight light paper backing, these discs are flexible enough for finishing applications yet durable enough to last through multiple uses. This balance makes them versatile for different materials.

    Convenient Roll Format

This product comes as a roll of 175 discs, eliminating the need for liners and speeding up your workflow. The roll format makes it easy to grab discs quickly without waste or fuss.

Each case includes 6 rolls, providing a large supply for extended projects or multiple users. This pack size supports continuous work without frequent reordering or downtime.

    Advanced Adhesive System

The Stikit system uses a pressure-sensitive adhesive backing that sticks firmly to the backup pad but removes cleanly. This feature prevents residue buildup and keeps the pad ready for the next disc.

The adhesive backing works with the open coat aluminum oxide discs, which resist loading and maintain cutting performance. This combination extends disc life and improves sanding results on wood, metal, and composites.
