  • Product Description
    • A-weight light paper backing is suitable for finishing applications
    • Aluminum oxide mineral is durable, cuts fast, and performs well on many surfaces
    • Convenient roll form means no liners to remove, increasing productivity
    • Load-resistant coating helps prevent premature loading of the disc surface to maximize cut and extend the life of the abrasive grains
    • Open coat construction minimizes dust on the abrasive and workpiece for increased productivity
The 3M Stikit Gold Paper Disc Roll 216U is designed for convenience, combining open coat aluminum oxide discs with a handy adhesive backing ready for easy attachment to a Stikit backup pad (sold separately). This disc roll makes the discs easy to grab while eliminating the use of disc liners.

Designed for use with a random orbital sander, our discs are made of long-lasting aluminum oxide abrasive grains on a light A-weight paper backing suitable for lightweight sanding and finishing. The open coat and load-resistant coating help prevent loading for a longer service life, and make 3M Stikit Gold Paper Disc Roll 216U discs well-suited for general sanding and finishing applications on a variety of substrates, including paint, primer, wood, metal, plastic, and composites, including fiberglass.

3M Stikit discs are designed to handle a wide range of sanding and finishing needs. These high-quality, coated abrasive products come ready to use with a pressure sensitive adhesive coating on the backside so they conveniently press on to the backup pad, and remove cleanly, leaving an uncontaminated surface for the next disc. A Stikit disc should be used in conjunction with a Stikit backup pad (also called a disc pad and sold separately) that is attached to a random orbital sander.

Loading occurs when wood or paint dust clogs the surface of the disc and the abrasive points, which can quickly make the disc ineffective. Open coat construction means the abrasive grains are spaced so that dust and debris can collect in the spaces rather than loading the disc. Additionally, the open coat feature provides a more aggressive cut than a comparable closed coat abrasive of the same grade, for faster results.

    Trusted 3M Stikit Model

The 3M Stikit Gold Paper Disc Roll 216U offers reliable sanding performance with a trusted brand and model. This product is designed for professionals who need consistent results from a high-quality abrasive disc.

With the exact model number 216U and brand 3M, users can expect compatibility with Stikit backup pads and a product that meets industry standards for finishing tasks.

    Precise P120 A-weight Grade

This disc roll features a P120 A-weight grade, ideal for finishing applications that require a fine abrasive touch. The A-weight light paper backing supports smooth sanding without damaging delicate surfaces.

Using the P120 grade ensures the right balance between cutting speed and surface finish, making it suitable for paint, primer, wood, metal, plastic, and composites.

    Convenient 5 Inch Size

The discs come in a 5 inch diameter size, fitting most random orbital sanders with Stikit backup pads. This size is versatile for a variety of sanding and finishing jobs.

At 5 inches across, these discs provide enough surface area for efficient sanding while remaining easy to handle and replace during work.

    Roll Format Technology

These discs are supplied in a roll format, eliminating the need for liners and speeding up the sanding process. The adhesive backing allows quick attachment to Stikit backup pads without fuss.

The roll format also reduces waste and keeps discs organized, making it easier to grab the right amount for any project without slowing down productivity.

    Large Pack Count Supply

This product includes 125 discs per roll and 10 rolls per case, providing a large supply for extended use. This pack size supports continuous work without frequent reordering.

Having 125 discs per roll and 10 rolls per case means you get 1,250 discs total, ideal for professionals or workshops needing a steady stock of abrasive discs.
