  • Product Description
    • A-weight light paper backing is suitable for finishing applications
    • Aluminum oxide mineral is durable, cuts fast, and performs well on many surfaces
    • Convenient roll form means no liners to remove, increasing productivity
    • Load-resistant coating helps prevent premature loading of the disc surface to maximize cut and extend the life of the abrasive grains
    • Open coat construction minimizes dust on the abrasive and workpiece for increased productivity
The 3M Stikit Gold Paper Disc Roll 216U is designed for convenience, combining open coat aluminum oxide discs with a handy adhesive backing ready for easy attachment to a Stikit backup pad (sold separately). This disc roll makes the discs easy to grab while eliminating the use of disc liners.

Designed for use with a random orbital sander, our discs are made of long-lasting aluminum oxide abrasive grains on a light A-weight paper backing suitable for lightweight sanding and finishing. The open coat and load-resistant coating help prevent loading for a longer service life, and make 3M Stikit Gold Paper Disc Roll 216U discs well-suited for general sanding and finishing applications on a variety of substrates, including paint, primer, wood, metal, plastic, and composites, including fiberglass.

3M Stikit discs are designed to handle a wide range of sanding and finishing needs. These high-quality, coated abrasive products come ready to use with a pressure sensitive adhesive coating on the backside so they conveniently press on to the backup pad, and remove cleanly, leaving an uncontaminated surface for the next disc. A Stikit disc should be used in conjunction with a Stikit backup pad (also called a disc pad and sold separately) that is attached to a random orbital sander.

Loading occurs when wood or paint dust clogs the surface of the disc and the abrasive points, which can quickly make the disc ineffective. Open coat construction means the abrasive grains are spaced so that dust and debris can collect in the spaces rather than loading the disc. Additionally, the open coat feature provides a more aggressive cut than a comparable closed coat abrasive of the same grade, for faster results.

    Trusted 3M Stikit Model

The 3M Stikit Gold Paper Disc Roll 216U offers reliable performance with a trusted brand and model. This product is designed for easy use with a Stikit backup pad, making it a go-to choice for finishing tasks.

Its adhesive backing simplifies attachment, eliminating liners and boosting productivity. The model 216U ensures consistent quality across all 175 discs per roll, with 6 rolls included per case for ample supply.

    Precise P180 A-weight Grade

This disc roll features a P180 A-weight grade, ideal for fine finishing work. The light paper backing supports smooth sanding without damaging delicate surfaces, perfect for detailed projects.

Users will appreciate the consistent abrasive quality that suits a variety of materials, including wood, metal, and composites. The P180 grade balances cut speed with surface finish for professional results.

    Convenient 5 Inch Size

Each disc measures 5 inches in diameter, fitting standard random orbital sanders. This size offers a good balance between coverage and control, making it versatile for many sanding tasks.

The 5 in x NH format ensures compatibility with common sanding tools, while the roll format allows quick disc access without liners. This setup saves time and effort during sanding jobs.

    Efficient Roll Format

The roll form of these discs means no liners to peel off, which speeds up the sanding process. With 175 discs per roll, users can work longer without interruption, enhancing productivity.

Six rolls per case provide a large quantity for extended projects or multiple users. The roll design also helps keep discs organized and ready for immediate use on the job site.

    Durable D/F 5HL Construction

The D/F 5HL die cut ensures each disc fits securely and performs well under pressure. This construction supports the aluminum oxide mineral, which cuts fast and lasts longer on various surfaces.

Load-resistant coating and open coat design reduce clogging and dust buildup, extending disc life. These features make the discs suitable for sanding paint, primer, wood, metal, plastic, and fiberglass.
