  • Product Description
    • A-weight light paper backing is suitable for finishing applications
    • Aluminum oxide mineral is durable, cuts fast, and performs well on many surfaces
    • Convenient roll form means no liners to remove, increasing productivity
    • Load-resistant coating helps prevent premature loading of the disc surface to maximize cut and extend the life of the abrasive grains
    • Open coat construction minimizes dust on the abrasive and workpiece for increased productivity
The 3M Stikit Gold Paper Disc Roll 216U is designed for convenience, combining open coat aluminum oxide discs with a handy adhesive backing ready for easy attachment to a Stikit backup pad (sold separately). This disc roll makes the discs easy to grab while eliminating the use of disc liners.

Designed for use with a random orbital sander, our discs are made of long-lasting aluminum oxide abrasive grains on a light A-weight paper backing suitable for lightweight sanding and finishing. The open coat and load-resistant coating help prevent loading for a longer service life, and make 3M Stikit Gold Paper Disc Roll 216U discs well-suited for general sanding and finishing applications on a variety of substrates, including paint, primer, wood, metal, plastic, and composites, including fiberglass.

3M Stikit discs are designed to handle a wide range of sanding and finishing needs. These high-quality, coated abrasive products come ready to use with a pressure sensitive adhesive coating on the backside so they conveniently press on to the backup pad, and remove cleanly, leaving an uncontaminated surface for the next disc. A Stikit disc should be used in conjunction with a Stikit backup pad (also called a disc pad and sold separately) that is attached to a random orbital sander.

Loading occurs when wood or paint dust clogs the surface of the disc and the abrasive points, which can quickly make the disc ineffective. Open coat construction means the abrasive grains are spaced so that dust and debris can collect in the spaces rather than loading the disc. Additionally, the open coat feature provides a more aggressive cut than a comparable closed coat abrasive of the same grade, for faster results.

    Trusted 3M Stikit Model

The 3M Stikit Gold Paper Disc Roll 216U offers reliable performance with a trusted brand and model. This product features the exact model 216U and brand 3M, ensuring quality and consistency for your sanding needs.

Designed for finishing tasks, this roll includes discs that are easy to handle and attach, making it a dependable choice for professionals and DIYers alike.

    Precise P360 A-weight Grade

This product comes with a P360 A-weight grade, which is ideal for fine finishing and light sanding applications. The A-weight paper backing supports smooth results without aggressive abrasion.

Using the P360 grade ensures that you get a balance of durability and finesse, perfect for working on surfaces like paint, primer, and wood.

    Convenient 6 Inch Size

The discs measure 6 inches in diameter, a common size that fits many random orbital sanders. This size offers good coverage and control during sanding tasks.

With a 6 in x NH die size, these discs are designed to fit Stikit backup pads perfectly, making setup quick and hassle-free.

    Efficient Roll Format

The product is supplied in a roll format with 75 discs per roll, eliminating liners and speeding up disc changes. This format increases productivity by making discs easy to grab and apply.

Each case contains 6 rolls, providing a total of 450 discs, which is ideal for extended projects or multiple users in a workshop setting.

    Durable Adhesive System

The Stikit system uses a pressure-sensitive adhesive backing that sticks firmly to the backup pad but removes cleanly. This helps maintain a clean pad surface for repeated use.

This adhesive technology supports the disc’s open coat aluminum oxide mineral, which cuts fast and resists loading, extending the life of each disc during sanding.
