Designed for use with a random orbital sander, our discs are made of long-lasting aluminum oxide abrasive grains on a light A-weight paper backing suitable for lightweight sanding and finishing. The open coat and load-resistant coating help prevent loading for a longer service life, and make 3M Stikit Gold Paper Disc Roll 216U discs well-suited for general sanding and finishing applications on a variety of substrates, including paint, primer, wood, metal, plastic, and composites, including fiberglass.
3M Stikit discs are designed to handle a wide range of sanding and finishing needs. These high-quality, coated abrasive products come ready to use with a pressure sensitive adhesive coating on the backside so they conveniently press on to the backup pad, and remove cleanly, leaving an uncontaminated surface for the next disc. A Stikit disc should be used in conjunction with a Stikit backup pad (also called a disc pad and sold separately) that is attached to a random orbital sander.
Loading occurs when wood or paint dust clogs the surface of the disc and the abrasive points, which can quickly make the disc ineffective. Open coat construction means the abrasive grains are spaced so that dust and debris can collect in the spaces rather than loading the disc. Additionally, the open coat feature provides a more aggressive cut than a comparable closed coat abrasive of the same grade, for faster results.

Durable P80 Grade Abrasive
This product features a P80 grade, providing a balanced cut for finishing and sanding tasks. The aluminum oxide mineral ensures durability and fast cutting on various surfaces.
Whether working on wood, metal, or composites, the P80 grit delivers effective results. It’s ideal for general sanding and finishing applications requiring moderate abrasion.
Convenient Five Inch Size
The discs measure 5 inches in diameter, fitting most random orbital sanders. This size offers a good balance between coverage and control during sanding jobs.
With 5-inch discs, you can handle both large surfaces and detailed areas efficiently. The size is compatible with many sanding tools, making it versatile for different projects.
Efficient Roll Format
The roll format includes 125 discs per roll, eliminating the need to remove liners. This setup increases productivity by allowing quick disc changes without waste.
Each case contains 10 rolls, providing a large supply for extended use. The roll form is convenient for storage and keeps discs organized and ready to use.
Reliable Adhesive Backing System
The Stikit adhesive backing ensures discs attach securely to the backup pad and remove cleanly. This feature helps maintain a clean surface for the next disc, improving sanding quality.
Designed for use with a Stikit backup pad (sold separately), this system supports easy disc replacement. It’s a practical choice for users who want quick setup and minimal downtime.
