Our 3M Stikit pressure sensitive adhesive backing provides ease of attachment to a random orbital sander and a clean, residue-free removal, while the roll form offers quick access to a disc and eliminates disc liners. The open coat feature provides a more aggressive cut than a comparable closed coat abrasive of the same grade, and the disc’s load-resistant coating reduces clogging of the disc, making this a good choice for woodworking and other applications where loading hinders performance. Designed for use with a random orbital sander, this disc comes in a range of grades for fine sanding and finishing, and is resin-bonded for reliable performance under high heat and pressure.
We chose aluminum oxide abrasive, which is a popular choice among industrial professionals because of its fast cut-rate and long life. This mineral makes a tough, durable abrasive that self-fractures to expose fresh cutting edges, whereas traditional natural abrasives dull more quickly. Due to its fast cut-rate, hardness, and strength, it is widely used in grinding applications in addition to sanding and finishing applications. Aluminum oxide is suitable for a wide variety of materials in both woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys.
Sandpaper discs cut better and last longer when dust isn’t clogging the cutting surface of the abrasives. Open coat construction means the abrasive grains are placed with space between them to help evacuate sawdust and other sanding debris and avoid clogging the cutting edge of the grains. The load-resistant coating also allows the disc to continue cutting even when sanding softwoods, paints, and other materials that would, otherwise, clog the disc and hinder sanding ability. Additionally, the open coat feature provides a more aggressive cut than a comparable closed coat abrasive of the same grade. All of this adds up to increased productivity and reduced material consumption.
Our 3M Stikit system eliminates the time-consuming task of applying adhesive to the disc backing. These high-quality, coated abrasive products come ready to use with a pressure sensitive adhesive coating on the backside so that attaching them to your disc pad is as simple as pressing on a sticker. And because the adhesive is pressure sensitive, the disc can be peeled off of the disc pad just as easily, leaving a clean surface for your next disc. A Stikit disc must be pressed onto a Stikit backup pad (also called a disc pad and sold separately) that is attached to a disc sander, random orbital sander, or stationary disc sander.

Precise P220 Grade Performance
This roll includes discs with a P220 grade, ideal for fine sanding and finishing tasks. The aluminum oxide abrasive grain delivers a fast cut rate and long-lasting durability for smooth results.
Using P220 grade discs helps achieve a close-tolerance finish on various surfaces. This grade is well-suited for both woodworking and metalworking applications, providing professional-quality results.
Optimal 5 Inch Size
The discs measure 5 inches in diameter, fitting standard random orbital sanders. This size balances control and coverage, making it easy to sand detailed areas or larger surfaces efficiently.
With a 5-inch size, these discs are versatile for many sanding projects. The film backing adds tear resistance, ensuring the discs hold up well during extended use.
Convenient Roll Format
The product comes in a convenient disc roll format, eliminating the need to remove liners from individual discs. This saves time and reduces waste on the job.
Each roll contains 125 discs, and the full case includes 4 rolls. This pack size supports high-production environments by providing plenty of discs ready for quick application.
Durable Film Backing
The discs feature a tear-resistant film backing that offers a consistent finish and close tolerance. This backing is more durable than paper, making it suitable for demanding sanding tasks.
Combined with the open coat construction and load-resistant coating, the film backing helps prevent clogging and extends disc life. This ensures better productivity and less downtime.
