Our durable film construction provides the tear resistance needed for the use of coarse grades in high-production metalworking environments, particularly where edge wear is a concern. The film backing generates a uniform and consistent finish. With a 3M Stikit backing, this disc is easy to attach to a backup pad (sold separately), and easy to remove.
3M Stikit Film Disc 375L is suitable for a variety of applications. When the goal is a superior wood finish, the 375L film disc in medium grades conforms well to the contours and rounded edges of challenging work surfaces to deliver a superior finish. Woodworking applications are further enhanced by a load-resistant coating and open coat construction, which reduce clogging and extend the life of the abrasive. For pre- and post-paint finishing, versatility is key, and our 375L film disc in fine grades is designed to deliver a superb uniform finish on plastics and clear coat technologies commonly used in the transportation industry.
We designed the 3M Stikit Film Disc 375L for use with a random orbital sander and our Stikit backup pad (sold separately). It comes in a range of grades for various applications from rough sanding to very fine finishing.
Our line of Stikit discs come ready to use with a pressure sensitive adhesive coating on the backside so that attaching them to your Stikit disc pad is as simple as pressing on a sticker. And because the adhesive is pressure sensitive, the disc can be peeled off of the disc pad just as easily, leaving a clean surface for your next disc. A convenient liner prevents the adhesive from becoming dirty and keeps the backing sticky until applied.
Film-backed discs have excellent tear-resistant properties and provide a very uniform finish and consistent results with each use. This makes them an excellent option when working on paint, e-coats, primers, gel coats, glass, acrylics and solid surface material, wood topcoats and anywhere else you need the perfect finish every time.
We use aluminum oxide abrasive mineral in the manufacture of our 3M Stikit Film Disc 375L. Aluminum oxide is a popular choice among industrial professionals because of its fast cut-rate and long life. This mineral makes a tough, durable abrasive that self-fractures to expose fresh cutting edges, whereas traditional natural abrasives dull more quickly. Due to its fast cut-rate, hardness, and strength, it is widely used in grinding applications in addition to sanding and finishing applications. Aluminum oxide is suitable for a wide variety of materials in both woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys.
Trusted 3M Stikit Model
The 3M Stikit Film Disc 375L offers reliable performance with its well-known brand and model. This disc features the 3M Stikit backing, which makes application and removal simple while protecting the adhesive from dust and debris.
Designed for use with a Stikit backup pad, the 375L model ensures easy attachment and removal. Its premium aluminum oxide abrasive provides a fast cut and long life, making it suitable for various surfaces and tasks.
Precise P1200 Grade Finish
This disc comes in the P1200 grade, ideal for fine finishing tasks. The grade ensures a uniform and consistent finish, especially on plastics, clear coats, and wood surfaces requiring a smooth final touch.
Its open coat construction and load-resistant coating reduce clogging, extending the disc’s life. The P1200 grade is perfect for pre- and post-paint finishing, delivering excellent results on contoured surfaces.
Durable Film Backing Benefits
The 5 inch film backing on this disc is tear-resistant and durable, providing a consistent finish even on challenging surfaces. This backing supports the disc’s flexibility and longevity during sanding tasks.
Film backing also helps maintain a uniform finish across various substrates, including wood topcoats and solid surface materials. Its strength makes it suitable for high-production environments where edge wear is a concern.
Convenient Format And Size
The disc measures 5 inches in diameter with a NH (non-hole) format, making it compatible with many random orbital sanders. This size is versatile for both woodworking and metalworking applications.
Its format and size allow it to conform well to contours and rounded edges, enhancing the sanding experience. The 5 inch size balances control and coverage for detailed finishing work.
Bulk Pack For Efficiency
Sold in a carton of 50 discs and a case of 250 discs, this pack size supports high-volume use. The bulk packaging is ideal for professionals who need a steady supply of sanding discs on hand.
Having 250 discs per case reduces downtime for reordering and ensures consistent availability. This pack count suits busy workshops and production environments requiring frequent disc changes.
