3M PSA Cloth Disc 348D is a heavy-duty sanding disc that features a high-strength pressure sensitive adhesive backing that adheres to a backup pad or a steel platen for an efficient application and clean removal.

Our 3M PSA Cloth Disc 348D features a heat-resistant resin bond and cloth backing that make this sanding disc a good choice for high heat and heavy duty sanding applications. Aluminum oxide particles in a closed coat offer a fast cut for grinding and dual action (D/A) sanding on metal. This versatile disc provides a fast, efficient method for deburring, blending, cleaning up, and finishing metal parts and surfaces of various sizes and shapes.

PSA or pressure-sensitive adhesive disc is pressed onto a backup pad (also called a disc pad and sold separately) that is attached to a disc sander, random orbital sander, or stationary disc sander.

We chose aluminum oxide abrasive, which is a popular choice among industrial professionals because of its fast cut-rate and long life. This mineral makes a tough, durable abrasive that self-fractures to expose fresh cutting edges in use, whereas traditional abrasives such as garnet quickly wear down with use. Due to their fast cut-rate, hardness, strength, and low heat retention, they are widely used in grinding applications in addition to sanding and finishing applications. Aluminum oxide is suitable for a wide variety of materials in both woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys.

Heat-resistant resin is a sturdy binding agent that adheres the abrasive to the backing and maintains the stability of the bond even in conditions of high heat or pressure.

    3M PSA Cloth Disc

The 3M PSA Cloth Disc 348D offers a reliable sanding solution with its pressure sensitive adhesive backing. This backing sticks firmly to backup pads or steel platens, making it easy to apply and remove for quick disc changes.

Designed for efficiency, this model 348D disc supports heavy-duty sanding tasks. Its adhesive system ensures a secure fit during use, enhancing productivity on various sanding tools.

    50 X-weight Durable Backing

This sanding disc features a 50 X-weight cloth backing that provides durability and resistance to tearing. The cloth supports aggressive sanding without edge wear, making it suitable for tough applications.

The strong backing helps maintain disc integrity during heavy use, which is essential for maintaining consistent sanding performance over time.

    20 Inch Size Format

Measuring 20 inches in diameter, this disc fits larger sanding equipment for broad surface coverage. The size allows for efficient work on bigger metal parts and surfaces.

Its large format is ideal for tasks like deburring, blending, and finishing, speeding up the sanding process on various shapes and sizes.

    Die 2000D Grade Abrasive

The Die 2000D grade uses aluminum oxide abrasive, known for fast cutting and long life. This mineral self-fractures to expose fresh edges, maintaining cutting efficiency throughout use.

Aluminum oxide is versatile, working well on ferrous alloys and other metals. Its hardness and low heat retention make it a preferred choice for grinding and finishing.

    Pack Count Ten Pieces

This product comes in a pack of 10 discs, providing enough quantity for multiple projects or extended use. The case packaging helps keep discs organized and protected.

Having ten discs per case ensures you have replacements ready, reducing downtime during sanding jobs and maintaining workflow continuity.
