Our 3M PSA Cloth Disc 348D features a heat-resistant resin bond and cloth backing that make this sanding disc a good choice for high heat and heavy duty sanding applications. Aluminum oxide particles in a closed coat offer a fast cut for grinding and dual action (D/A) sanding on metal. This versatile disc provides a fast, efficient method for deburring, blending, cleaning up, and finishing metal parts and surfaces of various sizes and shapes.
PSA or pressure-sensitive adhesive disc is pressed onto a backup pad (also called a disc pad and sold separately) that is attached to a disc sander, random orbital sander, or stationary disc sander.
We chose aluminum oxide abrasive, which is a popular choice among industrial professionals because of its fast cut-rate and long life. This mineral makes a tough, durable abrasive that self-fractures to expose fresh cutting edges in use, whereas traditional abrasives such as garnet quickly wear down with use. Due to their fast cut-rate, hardness, strength, and low heat retention, they are widely used in grinding applications in addition to sanding and finishing applications. Aluminum oxide is suitable for a wide variety of materials in both woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys.
Heat-resistant resin is a sturdy binding agent that adheres the abrasive to the backing and maintains the stability of the bond even in conditions of high heat or pressure.
Trusted 3M PSA Model
The 3M PSA Cloth Disc 348D is a reliable sanding disc designed for heavy-duty use. This model features a pressure sensitive adhesive backing that sticks firmly to backup pads or steel platens, ensuring efficient sanding and easy replacement.
Its high-strength adhesive allows quick removal and clean changes, making it ideal for professionals who need fast and effective sanding solutions. The 348D model is well-suited for various applications requiring durability and precision.
Durable 40 X-weight Backing
This sanding disc uses a 40 X-weight cloth backing, which supports aggressive sanding without tearing or edge wear. The durable cloth backing ensures the disc holds up well under tough conditions, extending its useful life.
The X-weight backing is perfect for heavy-duty applications where strength and resistance to damage are critical. It helps maintain consistent performance even during demanding sanding tasks.
Precise 2 Inch Size
The disc measures 2 inches in diameter with a NH arbor hole, making it compatible with many disc sanders and random orbital sanders. This size is convenient for detailed work and fits well on standard backup pads.
Its compact 2-inch dimension allows for easy handling and control during sanding, especially on smaller or intricate surfaces. The NH arbor ensures secure attachment to the tool for safe operation.
Effective Die 200P Grade
The 3M PSA Cloth Disc 348D comes in a Die 200P grade, which offers a fine abrasive surface for smooth finishing. This grade balances cutting speed with surface quality, making it suitable for metal deburring and blending.
Using the 200P grade disc helps achieve clean, polished results on various materials. It’s especially useful for finishing metal parts where precision and surface smoothness are important.
Convenient 50 Pack Case
This product is sold in a pack of 50 discs per case, providing ample supply for ongoing projects or industrial use. Having a large pack ensures you won’t run out quickly and can maintain productivity.
The 50-pack format is ideal for workshops or professionals who need consistent access to quality sanding discs. It also offers good value by reducing the need for frequent reordering.
