Creates Flexible Seals on Expansion Joints
3M™ Polyurethane Construction Sealant 525 is a single-component, moisture-curing polyurethane sealant used to seal construction expansion joints. It can seal a wide variety of materials, including plastics, fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP), sheet molding compound (SMC), aluminum, steel, coated metal and wood. It creates a strong, permanent elastic bond with elongation of over 800%. It will seal a wide selection of materials, including concrete, wood, PVC and metal. This adhesive will perform in temperatures ranging from -22°F/-40°C to 176°F/80°C. Once skin has formed, this sealant can be painted to improve the final finish. Available in cartridges, sausage packs and bulk format to meet your application needs.

    3M Polyurethane Sealant Model

The 3M Polyurethane Construction Sealant 525 is designed for flexible sealing on expansion joints. This gray sealant comes in a 600 mL sausage pack, making it easy to apply and handle on site.

This single-component, moisture-curing sealant bonds well to various materials and maintains elasticity, ensuring long-lasting performance. The 525 model is trusted for construction and industrial use.

    Flexible Seals For Expansion

This sealant creates flexible, permanently elastic seals that allow joint movement without cracking. It works well on concrete, wood, PVC, and metal, adapting to different construction needs.

Its elongation exceeds 800%, and it performs reliably in temperatures from -22°F to 176°F. This flexibility helps protect structures from weather and mechanical stress.

    600 Milliliter Sausage Pack

The 600 mL sausage pack format offers efficient dispensing and reduces waste. It fits manual or pneumatic applicators, making it suitable for various job sizes and application methods.

Available in cases of 12, this packaging supports consistent supply for larger projects. The sausage pack design also helps maintain product freshness between uses.

    Long Lasting Elastic Bonds

3M’s sealant forms strong, durable bonds that remain elastic over time. This permanent elasticity prevents joint failure and maintains seal integrity under movement and stress.

It’s multi-purpose, bonding to plastics, metals, fiberglass, and wood, making it versatile for many construction and repair applications.

    Paintable After Skin

The sealant skins over in 90 to 150 minutes, allowing it to be painted once the surface is dry. This feature helps achieve a clean, finished look that matches surrounding materials.

Painting after skin formation improves aesthetics and protects the sealant from UV exposure, extending its service life in outdoor environments.
