3M Paper Sheet 426U is a general purpose abrasive sanding sheet constructed on an A-weight, light paper backing and features an anti-loading coating and open coat construction. Silicon carbide abrasive and lightweight paper backing make this sheet an ideal product for finishing applications such as paint prep, white wood sanding, sealer sanding, and solid surface finishing.

3M™ Paper Sheet 426U is a general purpose abrasive sanding sheet constructed on an A-weight, light paper backing and features an anti-loading coating and open coat construction. Silicon carbide abrasive and lightweight paper backing make this sheet an ideal product for finishing applications such as paint prep, white wood sanding, sealer sanding, and solid surface finishing.

Our silicon carbide abrasive sheets create a smoother finish than aluminum oxide or garnet abrasive products on painted metal and wood substrates. Its resin bond construction provides superior grain retention while the open coat construction, along with the load resistant coating, combine to provide excellent antiloading characteristics. The light A-weight backing provides conformability over contours and into crevasses and corners. The sheet can also be easily cut to fit a hand pad block, inline sanders, or finishing or power sanders. Other applications include general sanding, finishing, blending, surface leveling and prep prior to staining or painting. These versatile sanding sheets contain the ideal abrasive grain type and grades for multi-step finishing processes.

Silicon carbide is a synthetic mineral that is very sharp and commonly used for final finishing in white wood sanding. While it breaks down faster than aluminum oxide, it produces a superior finish.

    Trusted 3M Paper Sheet

The 3M Paper Sheet 426U is a reliable choice for sanding tasks. This model features the 320 A-weight backing, which offers the right balance of flexibility and durability for finishing contours and angles.

Its lightweight paper backing helps it conform well to surfaces, making it ideal for detailed work. The 426U model is designed to meet various sanding needs with consistent quality.

    Precise Size And Format

Each sheet measures 9 in x 11 in, providing a convenient size for many sanding applications. This dimension allows easy handling and cutting to fit hand pads or power sanders.

The sheets come in a pack of 100 per pack, with 1000 sheets per case. This format ensures you have plenty of material for large projects or ongoing use.

    Effective Load Resistant Coating

The 3M Paper Sheet 426U includes a load resistant coating and open coat construction. These features minimize loading and clogging, keeping the abrasive surface effective longer.

This anti-loading design improves sanding efficiency on materials like wood, metal, and fiberglass. It helps maintain smooth sanding without frequent interruptions for cleaning.

    Versatile Silicon Carbide Abrasive

Silicon carbide abrasive is used on these sheets, making them suitable for general purpose sanding. This mineral works well on wood, metal, plastic, drywall, fiberglass, glass, and ceramic surfaces.

Its sharpness creates a smoother finish compared to aluminum oxide or garnet abrasives. This makes the 426U ideal for paint prep, sealer sanding, and solid surface finishing.

    Convenient Pack Size Options

The product is available in packs of 100 sheets, with 1000 sheets per case. This bulk packaging supports both small and large scale sanding projects efficiently.

Having a large quantity on hand reduces the need for frequent reordering. It also ensures consistent availability for finishing, blending, and surface prep tasks.
