3M™ Paper Sheet 426U is a general purpose abrasive sanding sheet constructed on an A-weight, light paper backing and features an anti-loading coating and open coat construction. Silicon carbide abrasive and lightweight paper backing make this sheet an ideal product for finishing applications such as paint prep, white wood sanding, sealer sanding, and solid surface finishing.

Our silicon carbide abrasive sheets create a smoother finish than aluminum oxide or garnet abrasive products on painted metal and wood substrates. Its resin bond construction provides superior grain retention while the open coat construction, along with the load resistant coating, combine to provide excellent antiloading characteristics. The light A-weight backing provides conformability over contours and into crevasses and corners. The sheet can also be easily cut to fit a hand pad block, inline sanders, or finishing or power sanders. Other applications include general sanding, finishing, blending, surface leveling and prep prior to staining or painting. These versatile sanding sheets contain the ideal abrasive grain type and grades for multi-step finishing processes.

Silicon carbide is a synthetic mineral that is very sharp and commonly used for final finishing in white wood sanding. While it breaks down faster than aluminum oxide, it produces a superior finish.

    Trusted 3M Paper Sheet

The 3M Paper Sheet 426U is a reliable choice for sanding tasks. This model features an A-weight backing that offers flexibility, making it easier to finish contours and angles smoothly.

Its silicon carbide abrasive is perfect for general purpose sanding on various materials, including wood, metal, and plastic. The 426U model stands out for its versatility and quality.

    Flexible A-weight Backing

The 320 A-weight paper backing provides excellent conformability, allowing the sheet to adapt to curves and corners during sanding. This flexibility helps achieve a consistent finish on complex surfaces.

Because the paper sheet is lightweight, it can be easily sized or cut to fit hand pads, inline sanders, or power sanders, making it suitable for many finishing applications.

    Optimal Size And Format

Each sheet measures 9 inches by 11 inches, a convenient size for various sanding tasks. This dimension balances coverage and control, helping users work efficiently on different surfaces.

The sheets come in a pack of 100 per pac, with 1000 sheets in a full case. This format ensures you have plenty of material for extended projects or multiple jobs.

    Effective Load Resistant Coating

The load resistant coating combined with an open coat construction minimizes loading, which means less clogging during sanding. This feature helps maintain the sheet’s effectiveness over time.

These properties make the 3M Paper Sheet 426U ideal for finishing tasks like paint prep, sealer sanding, and solid surface finishing, where a clean abrasive surface is crucial.

    Versatile Multi-Purpose Use

Silicon carbide abrasive is sharp and creates a smoother finish than aluminum oxide or garnet, especially on painted metal and wood. This makes it a great choice for final finishing steps.

Applications include general sanding, blending, surface leveling, and prep before staining or painting. The 3M Paper Sheet 426U supports multi-step finishing processes effectively.
