3M Paper Belt 346UZ is constructed with a premium aluminum oxide mineral. It is an open coat construction for loading resistance and is coated on an F-weight paper backing to efficiently sand and finish. F-weight is one of the heaviest, most rigid paper backings available and will achieve finer finishes than cloth backed belts in the same grade.

The paper backing of our 3M Paper Belt 346UZ provides smooth operation and durability. The abrasive side features an open coat structure. The open coat construction resists loading better than closed coat belts, particularly on soft wood. This belt also features our 3M dust management technology that reduces static cling in the dust particles, allowing them to be evacuated more easily when coupled with an efficient dust collection system. To support desired finishing results, the belt ends are joined using an sine wave splice that promotes belt strength and resists hinging and splice fatigue. The splice travels smoothly over contact wheels and platens, minimizes chatter marks, and promotes smooth operation in either direction for consistent finishing results.

3M Paper Belt 346UZ features a premium aluminum oxide abrasive, which is a popular choice among industrial professionals because of its cut-rate and long life. This mineral is a tough, durable abrasive that self-fractures to expose fresh cutting edges in use, whereas traditional abrasives, such as garnet, quickly wear down with use. Due to its high cut-rate, hardness, strength, and low heat retention, aluminum oxide mineral is widely used for sanding and finishing applications. Aluminum oxide is suitable on a wide variety of substrates in both woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys.

Abrasive belts come in many different widths and lengths and are used on a variety of different belt sanders for many different applications on both wood and metal. 3M offers a broad selection of belts to fit most any industrial belt sander. Wider belts are used to dimension and sand large wood panels, smooth rough cut edges of metal sheets, or add a grain pattern to stainless steel sheets. Medium-width belts fit onto edge or portable belt sanders for sanding or blending wood pieces such as cabinet doors.

    Trusted 3M Paper Belt

The 3M Paper Belt 364UZ offers reliable performance with its premium aluminum oxide mineral. This model is known for its aggressive cut and long abrasive life, making it a solid choice for demanding sanding tasks.

Designed with the 3M brand's quality standards, the 364UZ model ensures consistent results. Its open coat construction helps resist loading, especially on soft wood, enhancing overall efficiency.

    Durable F-weight Backing

This belt features an F-weight heavy paper backing, providing durability and smooth operation in either direction. The backing is one of the heaviest and most rigid paper types available for sanding belts.

Thanks to this backing, the belt achieves finer finishes than cloth-backed belts of the same grade. It supports smooth sanding and finishing on various surfaces without compromising strength.

    Optimal Size And Format

The belt measures 54 inches by 103 inches, fitting a wide range of industrial belt sanders. This size is ideal for dimensioning and sanding large wood panels or smoothing metal edges.

Its full-flex design allows it to bend and move easily over contact wheels and platens. This flexibility supports consistent finishing results across different applications.

    Advanced Sine-lok Splice

The sine wave splice technology prevents hinging in the splice area and resists fatigue. This design minimizes chatter marks and promotes smooth operation in either direction.

By traveling smoothly over contact wheels and platens, the splice enhances belt strength and durability. This feature is key for maintaining consistent sanding quality over time.

    Convenient Five Belt Pack

Each case contains 5 belts, making it easy to stock up for ongoing projects. This pack size supports continuous work without frequent reordering.

Having multiple belts on hand is practical for industrial settings where sanding demands are high. The 5 ea/Case format ensures you’re ready for various tasks with the 364UZ model.
